| In my Diesel Logan 1.5 DLX, The tachometer & speedometer needle in Instrument panel vibrates for a second as soon as the ignition key is started. After that it works normally. Has anyone faced such issue. Should I need to worry about it ???? Also earlier there used to continuously blink a red light in the panel even after engine off and locking the car (I guess for anti-theft or may b something else). But now its NOT . What shall be done now ???

| Yes the anti theft light should blink ! as for the trembling needles I would not bother ! about them unless they start to do it while driving If the car is under guarantee take it back and ask why the anti theft light has stopped flashing ! (This only Flashes when Locked !!!) | |

Is sending to service center an only option ?

| Yes that what I loved in it, its a high performance machine if properly serviced and taken care off. For your info i'm the one who has purchased this Logan from my uncle, if you could remember that post, the car already run 97500 km n now i'll make it to 100000 :-) As far as mother in law is concerned I've to experience it yet not yet married Bydway nice view your Logan & Snow together..Color Contrast is Superb. Well, Sti the only problem i'm facing is that it has quite a hard clutch...Is it the Clutch wire?? Coz as per my uncle from whom i've purchased this told he has changed the clutch plate around 60k mark....Should it be checked now?? How can it be smoother as earlier.??? | |

| The Clutch is pretty hard so I hear in India ! I would also leave that alone ! How come your Uncle only got 60000 from his clutch ? If the clutch pedel goes down without groaning then its ok (In my eyes) | |

| Yeah, Stu the clutch seems preety hard as compared to thr other same segment cars, though its not a hindrance but being living in a populated cities and mostly doing city driving it feels uncomfortable to drive with. If am running a sedan then it should feel the same..Right. Yes, when I asked him about this he said it was changed at that time, i've no actual proof of it thats why am here on this forum to get the insights.
Well, European and Indian conditions are quite different, here if you go to a service center apart from your known ones (as in case of authorized centers) and take an example would ask for just a small repair in some part, they will just completely change the whole damn part and asks for a hefty amount including the labour charge :-/
Well not going deep in that, just wanted to confirm that How can that Clutch be smoother, would it cost me for complete Clutch assembly or I just need to change the Clutch wire.??

| Been a little late in arriving here. If anyone has the issues of vibrating (violently) needles when trying to start your cars, give a check to the fuse box. In my car, the dome lamp fuse was blown and replacing it, fixed the issue.

Surya vsuprak: Yeah, it vibrates (violently) when starting the car & work normally after that. Although i haven't checked the fuse box yet (being new owner of the car, didnt know much about its functionality). Yet, i know the fuse box is situated and can have access from extreme left side of the dashboard. My Dome light is functioning properly even then would you suggest me to replace it?? Please advise? Also suggest how can a blown fuse be known??

| It's on the left of your dashboard. When you open it, the lid has a layout of the fuses and there is a clip to help you remove and check the fuses. A blown fuse will look like this In case it is not blown, you need not replace it. Just get it checked at service. | |

| If any of the fuses is blown...does battery terminals need to be dismantle before changing the fuse or it can be changed instantaneously by just opening the fuse box??' | |

| No need of removing the battery teminal. You can just pull out the blown one and clip a good one back in. | |

| Before you send your vehicle for the checkup, speak to the service advisor. Many a times, the solution is available over phone itself. Spares you the time and money both.

| Yes, am letting it remain intact...coz if i'll ask to the service guys they will say nothing but to change the whole cluster...why the hell these dumbos learn to repair :-/
Following this forum indeed can give more knowledge then asking those Service Guys.
Yes, I did that test, keeping the button pressed and turning on the key resulted in a diagnostic mode...needless started moving here and there. Didnt heard any beep sound though. But, that initial vibration problem still remains.
It is not looking any problem (hope so) but as soon as I turn up the key, and both needles Vibrates in panel..and it feels WHATT..

JUST A THOUGHT ! Yes, they just vibrate around0-100 rpm counter vigorously creating a sound like "Ghrrrr" as soon as I turn on the key and then stops. Infact this thing happens so instantaneously that this vibration ends microseconds earlier then the heater light goes off. Yes I do have CD player installed. but that shouldn't be any problem.
