PostSubject: Panel Diagnostic of Logan   Wed Nov 28, 2012 11:55 am

Dear All,

I've just gone through following link on youtube few days before. http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=IN&v=ux9kXmvCcak

It shows the auto diagnostic of the logan car( I think dacia logan).

Can somebody please give some more light on this?

I tried it on car . It shows code as follows.

1st Press: 113113

2nd press : complete display panel

3rd press: Fuel available

4th press: t_c ( I didn't understand this).

& the needles of tacho & speedometer keeps moving.

Can somebody explain this to me?

Vaibhav

I believe it can be used to simply see if all the LEDs within the panel and tachometer, speedometer needles are all working fine.

There can be cases where some LED is not showing up in running condition of the car or the needles are not rotating.

Now there are two possibilities
- The LED itself is worn out and is not lighting up or the meter needle can not rotate and is malfunctioning.
OR
- The controller signal which is supposed to light up that LED or rate the needle, in running condition of car is not triggering the LED to light up or needle to rotate.

Now without such a feature is is impossible to find the actual cause without actually dismantling the dashboard and checking beneath.

To avoid all that work one can use the diagnostic and ensure that the LEDs and meter needles are in position to light up / rotate and fault is somewhere else.

However this is my interpretation and may not be correct.

Certain values appearing during the self diagnostic panel do not actually show proper values in our Logans simply because certain features which otherwise exist are not available on our models.

For example there can be some LED corresponding to AIR BAGS or ABS which may show up during self diagnostics but otherwise they are never going to light up as they are not present on our Logans.

Thanks for reply.

I just had 1 more query whether we can upgrade the software & put some fuses in fusebox to make active other functions like door ajar warning light. current fuel consumption, balance fuel in tank, kms can be covered in remaining fuel... etc..?

Some features you mentioned are already available.
Like KMS Vehicle can run without refuelling is available.
Average you vehicle is giving per liter is available.
Average Speed your vehicle has been operating is available.
Open Door warning light setting is available on the light switch (middle position) which is on driver cabin near interior rear view mirror.
With Engine not started : Key inserted with door open and headlights switched ON with door open warning beep is available

Now I don't know the ones that are not available. However for sure its not just a matter of fuse in fuse box. Complete wiring and accessories are needed. Unfortunately in Indian market not all accessories are available in all cities for Logan.
