How many Kilometers has ur LOGAN travelled?

I think you are not used to the new adjustments and play. Its probably engaging late and that may the reason for the jerks when you change gear and release the clutch. But to be on the safer side its better to get it checked for appropriate travel and 'play'.

I have bought Bridgestone Turanza ER60. They are the OEM size 185/70-14 and rating. My car has done nearly 50000Kms. The OEM tyres are holding good. I would have gone for the same tyres but thought I'll experiment. I will most likely replace it at around 55000Kms.

well we can talk about these measurements but in the service center they dont have anything to measure clutch wire resistence and they just adjust it by guesses and checking the peddle by pressing it. this is what they did nothin more thats why people say mahindra doesnt knows the logan that well till now and thats why it has the worst service for logan from all its other vehicles... this is what is effecting the sale of the vehicle heavily i myself feel like this not just because of this only also because of the allignment incident which i faced the were not able to allign the tyres properly even aftr 6 times of allignment in the service centre the askd me to get it allignd from outside and i did almost 3 times makes a total of 8 allignments all paid by me but the problem was still there the shockrs of the car was bent and service centre people dint evn checkd them onse and .. any how after all this and because of all this my all 4 tyres are finishd in 32000 kms only and still i dont know if my new tyres will do well or not as i dnt trust the allignment of my car or its suspension..... and according to me this problem is just beacause renault has not given any option for chamber adjustment if it goes out like mine was and may be still is nothing can b done.. if mahindra actuly changes its clutch they should also go for a better suspension...

What have you done so far about these issues? Did you write to the concerned people? I do agree they may press the clutch and adjust it that way at times. But if you insist then they will take a scale and measure it while adjusting it. At Sireesh Auto (Bangalore) they do the same. So it leaves little room for error.
If you had issues with alignment, adjusting it twice or thrice (for free) makes sense. But when they ask you to get it adjusted from outside you should have asked them to compensate you for that. You should have taken them to task by getting in touch with relevant people.
Most of the times we complain but we don't take up the matter with the concerned people and that makes all the difference. We keep walking around with the problem than doing something about it.
This is a wonderful car, very practical. The suspension is good, the clutch may get hard at times but it can be easily taken care of.

well here in punjab i dont think any single service center even has a scale for this kind of job or they even know what should be the exact mm... and about allignment i paid evryone of them and they got away with a simple excuse that i have fitted alloys instead of there rims, i wrote to mahindra customer care and got a call from some guy named rajeev and instead of helping me out he was blaming me for putting alloys when i told him about service center not checking the shockers which came out to be bent and doing paid allignments again and again he just said we can just replace the shockers and that also we will do only if u will fit new tyres and original rims (the most idiotic thing i ever heard from them was this) it was u can say just a foolish excuse to not to compensate or to put the blame on me as the alloys was of the same size of rims 14 inches and i was using the original jk tyres which came with the car... but then when no help was provided from mahindra i gave the service center final warning of going to consumer court as it was there mistake that they dint checkd the shockrs on time and kept on doin paid allignments beacause of which my tyres also got almost finished then the service engineer talked with his seniors and all then they replaced my shockers for free and for compensate they just gave me 2 free washing coupons costing only 600rs which i dont think was enough as all my tyres was also finishd because of their fault but they dint do anything more thats y i still know and say mahindra's poor service made a international car a failier in india..i think even reanult should take a legal action against mahindra for spoiling its name and failing a world wide successfull product just beacuse of poor service and idiotic and unhelpfull excutives and policies..

and i seriously dont think the suspension is good it may be smooth and soft but its not strong enough shockers get bent very early and easily even the mechanics in service center conform this and worst of all it doesnt has a chamber adjustment if it would have had i wouldnt have had so much trouble as only my front tyres was getting wheard from the outer corners and in evry allignment the chamber was showd to be out but as it was not adjustable nothing was done.. mahindra should surely change its suspension with a stronger one for indian roads or atleast put a chamber adjustment in it..

Nitin, i agree with your opinion.... the car deserves better.. mahindra service is simply not upto the mark.

I've been up against them.. althought for a diferent reason ( rising noise while breaking in reverse )... and I've decided not to take things lying down... If they are unable resolve my problem yet again during next month's service... I am definitely going to court against them.

Well you should. I just wonder if some how we can get these matters to most superiors of mahindra beacuse these are the actual reasons of the failure of the car.
As I know these people spend milions every year on market surveys and all just to know how their product is doing and why its sale is dropping I wonder if they just talk to users like us they can spend this money on resolving are problems and it will actually help the sales to grow.

In your city you may have a local Mahindra office. Locate that and go to them directly and talk to them. Get their email addresses and their superiors. You may consider writing directly to Renault but as things stand that may not be of much help. Anyway do write to them. What is the alloy rim width and the make? When you got these fitted did you directly take it to the authorised service center for alignment and balancing.
It is strange that your strut should bend. It normally bends when you collide against a rock or vehicle. We have some very bad roads here too but never heard of anyone getting his/her strut bent.
The camber may not be adjustable because its a MacPherson type. Normally that is the case.
One of my colleagues hit the divider during heavy rains and ended up with a bent strut. The front and the rear tyres burst but the alloys (Aura make) didn't get damaged. He still uses the alloys with no problems to the tyre. He too gets it serviced from Sireesh Auto.

My Rims are 15 inch !!!!!!!

i didn't find Mr. Gupta too helpful. His response is always very copybook. However, do get the contact of customer care head of your area/ city... who reports directly to Sanjoy. I understand that these city heads are technical people more than customer care personnel.

well we have a mahindra office on chandigarh and i also decidede to go there but i came to know the rajeev guy i talkd with is the head of that office and he was asked to solve my problem by mahindra c.care because of the mail i sent to them.. but as i told u i didnt found him helpfull at all so i also dropped the idea of going to his office.. i have a plati alloys and their width is 6 inches like any other normal alloy not over size but they also took this against me as the service engineer said that width is more then original rims original rims are of 5.5 inches only half inch cant bend the shockers or cant even whare tyres from outer corner but they just wanted a excuse i even asked the alloy sellers about the width and they said i can check every 14 inch normal sized alloy they have they all are of same size and width and its normal they have fitted these alloys in thousands of cars nothing is wrong with them... and from shocker bend i mean not the complete rod it was bent from the upper most part i mean the bolt type portion with which the shocker is fitted or screwd in the car u can say it was bent only and the mechanics told me that because of this it shows chamber out and we cant do allignement properly.. if it had a chamber it could have been adjusted and nothing would have gone wrong... and i fitted these alloys the 2nd day i brought this car and for a 1 day old car i didnt felt like it needs a allignement i took it for allignement on 5000kms after 2 months when i saw the tyres are bieng wheard abnormaly and the problem started...

well my car is out of warranty now so i dont think there is any use of writing to any of these people also these people are not engineers and i realy believe that these people dont even know about car much i mean in the technical way they just forward the complaints and concerns to the local offices just like computer operators i dont trust these people anymore also i have discussed all my problems in details to a consumer complaint site which mahindra people check regularly but they dint gave any response. thats the actual problem they just dont care or its just that they dont know what to do.. the owners of the company or sumone from the board of directors should have taken care of complaints department but they are too busy in launching new products and thinking how to increase the sales and profits and i can bet its not gonna help them at all.. but these computer operators arent gonna help its just waste of time....

The rim width seems okay. I checked the Apollo Tyres website and they recommend 5.0-6.0 inches width for 185/70-14. I am not sure if Mahindra/Renault recommends the same.

Stu, for a long time I wanted to upgrade to 15" but the OEM recommended tyre size is 185/65-15 and that size is not available with any of the manufacturers here. Apollo Tyres have it listed in their website but nobody has stock of the same.

ya i am pretty much aware that my alloys are fine and are from a good brand plati... but as i told u mahindra's poor service blows up everything again...

My opinion is somebody swapped the strut in your absence. Swapping will take 15minutes maximum. It is virtually impossible to bend it without causing other damages.
Yes, its the rod that is tightened to the apron that we are talking about.

well i dont think thats possible, i mean i never left my car at the service center and each and everytime i took it there was standing next to it no matter how long they took,

also hows it possible in 15 mins i mean when they changed my shockers and before when they checkd them both the times they took the complete shocker out of the car and to do so they had to put the jack first then remove the tyre then deassembled the brake system and all from the shocker rod and then they unscrewd the shocker from under the bonet and to only take both of the shockers out they took more then half n hour and more time was taken to fit as they had to carefully put evrything back, so its impossible to change both the shockers in 15 mins or even in a hour..

and both of my shockers was bent not only one...

With hydraulic jack and tool, its no big deal to remove the four nuts from the wheels. Remove the 2 bolts from the 'knuckle' connecting the lower end of the strut. Loosen the nut from the top and you have the entire assembly in your hands. Yes, may take a little more 15 minutes.

I didn't know it was both the struts. In that case, the chances that the struts were swapped is really doubtful.
