As per inputs given by service center people, power boot opener will cost around 500 bucks, will get it installed the next time i take my car for servce

I got a call from a representative of Bhavsar Motors asking me about the experience and said tat they are looking in the matter and will refund the money and will check wer things are wrong!! cheers

I too have not yet heard back anything from the dealer as well as Mahindra. I have sent do many mails to them man. This really hurt

Beware of power boot opener if yours a Diesel Logan, the plate they are using to mount actuator gun will rattle a lot. I have placed some newspaper under that, actually it needs to be done using a channel strip like this (I will rectify once I get time):

there is a strip of paper sticker underneath the plate. It comes by default

Paper strip (infact its plastic in my case) will not work, sooner or later it will produce nice rattling sound. I suggest to either screw rear ends or use what is shown in example.

Its almost 3 months that I have fitted boot opener, but haven't expeience any such noise. The paper strip I mentioned is actually thick sticker that is used to attach most accessories inside the car

Yes it has a double side tape on it and mechanic forgot to peel out the cover, but its not sticking to the surface and probably a bad idea from manufacturers to avoid rattle. I think I need to drill a hole on rear end as well and screw it for permanat solution.

Hi friends, Great to see a group of Loganners. Sorry but this is very basic. I checked with my dealer and he said Mahindra will send me a letter and its only then that I can get the boot opener fixed. Was that the same with you guys as well. Ive just done about 200kms and its a Feb 08 model T red vehicle.

No u dont need any letters.
check teh gallery section and download and print the bills and show it to your service center! they are supposed to do it for u!!

Boot Opener Scheme is still running or closed.

as i ask to dealer he is telling there is no such scheme
and also call customer care but they tell what
dealer is telling is right......

ezee.. i wonder how the difference is there between diesel and petrol models?... the boot and the openers are the same.. aren't they? or is it because of the very inherent vibe of a diesel car?

Yes, the diesel car vibrates much more than a petrol one. Which is why he was referring to that. Btw i have a diesel and havent had a problem as yet..

I dont have a boot opener ... however some sort of buzz sound comes from the rear of the car ... have stuffed enough sponge into the springs for the lid to ensuire that the sound isn't from there ... so what is it?

But it buzzes only when I go over a pothole or bump ... not continuously. Also it comes from the rear left side.

I was also wondering about the tyre jack, etc. that may be vibrating. It is attached to a rather thin filmsy sheet of steel. I may stuff some padding in the space between the car body and the steel plate holding the jack and see ....
