Hi! Had come across this forum when researching for the same problem for my Logan. Good to see so many "Loganers" out here..... Also I came to know about Dacia logan from Martin245's posts, Loved your car Stuart!!!
. Had made my mind to make my car look similar, red colour didn't get approved by the "WIFE" hence had to settle down for Beige with black roof like the one on B61KYS prior to red!!! Car is still in painting will post some pics later today!
So that's the background! I am getting a peculiar slight knocking sound from the engine whilst accelerating, even if the car is in the right gear! This happens when driving in any of the gears a knocking sound comes and as soon as the engine attains a higher rpm band it goes away! I put the car in neutral and accelerate, then the sound doesn't come. But if I give a sudden acceleration in neutral, there is a peculiar sound which comes only at the start. But no knocking in neutral.
I changed many fuel stations doubting the fuel quality, but no use.
Cleaned the injectors, checked the throttle body. The throttle body was clogged with a lot of black deposits which I think creeped in from the air filter! Cleaned it thoroughly but no luck!
I dont know whats the problem, mechanic says, the head will have to be opened and checked, A.S.S says we will change the throttle body and see, then decide on what else needs to be changed!
I personally feel, some sensor is malfunctioning, but OBD doesnt show any error!
If the problem persists, I am worried it will damage the engine! I also wanted the fit a CNG in the vehicle, but this problem will only increase in CNG!
Please help me people!
