Security of my Logan

Hello All,

1. I want to install some more security to my car. I want to add up gear lock. When I tried to gear lock dealer give me option for U type. For this he need to cut the carpet and add a long iron strip parallel to gear lever. That is very ugly and hit the driver sheet too. So I no to him.

Now I want to add a gear lock of PIN type but I don't found any for logan. Do anyone have idea from where I can install it. I am from Noida.

2. My car have immobilizer system. So it can start from original keys only. Do I need to install central lock with alarm system too?

As I know that there is inbuilt anti theft alarm in Logan.
How can I check that anti theft alarm is working or not?

Gear Lock is obsolete system.

Immobilizer is enough. However don't know whether it works the way it is designed.

Central Locking with alarm is different and for different purpose. it provides a way to open and shut the locks without using keys. basically key less entry. It is activated if any body opens the car with KEY instead of remote. Now the concept is REMOTE can not be duplicated but Keys can be. So for thief ways to open the car are using duplicate keys or manipulate the door locks. In both cases the central alarm activates and starts noising loudly which is sufficient to draw attention. However if the wires to this alarm are deactivated nothing will happen. However the immobilizer system would activate and the car would stop if it does not find the right RF match from the KEY being used.
