rattling sounds from uppe cover of steering wheeel

hey all......i very often find a rattling kinda noise from top cover of wheel

if i press it lil hard and then drive.......no sound rattling sounds from uppe cover of steering wheeel Icon_question

have talked to dealers......but all in vain

anybody else facing d problem????????

I guess urs is a GLS/DLS which has airbags! This is a issue observed and i guess service stations should have some solution for it!!
Write/talk to M-R abt it!

I have no sound in my DLS, must check with service guys.

YEA mine is DLS model wid airbag

Be stern and ask them to replace the Steering Wheel!!

Done 10000 so far

ok in that case.....i l definitely ask fr replacement

Get the steering wheel checked at service centre, see wht they say

steering is also making similar sounds, I showed it to technicians at Mahindra servicing
center twice but no solution so far....

I am facing rattle in wheel cover now. If I press it, the rattle disappears. Hitesh what did you do for the rattle to disappear?

OK GUYS You may laugh at this answer But check your bunch of keys that you have "Hanging" from the Ignition
every time you pull away, stop. turn left ,turn right ,these Keys bang on the housing at the bottom of the steering wheel ................................................AM I RIGHT ???? AGAIN ?

Did happen to me quite some times when I was irritated by noise coming from some non-existant nook & corner, only to realise that it was the keys makming the mild noise.

no....in my case the culprit is not the keys..

its the top cover only...

but nothing done from m r

so now adjusted with dat

i didnt understand a word but it sounds like its fixed Shocked

this sound is from beneath st wheel where clips hold air bag cover.if u hold clip(trere is small hole below stearing wheel where clips emerges ) it will temporarily solve ratling sound.otherwise ask workshop men to roll some tape on to clip or attach double tape around air bag assembly cover. thats it.....
