Parking lights wont work !

My brand new car has given its first niggle

The parking light wont work at all times..It works when it wants to

What I noticed was Parking light and Turn indicator switches are interconnected..

If turn indicator is switched on and off and then I try parking lights, it works at times..but NOT always..

Any idea what may be the issue?

Anyways I will tell this during my first service which is due in 2 weeks..but getting little scary when I need to stop for attending phone call or adjusting something..so trying to park in a place between the vehicles if at all I need to stop !

Probably some improper wiring. Nothing else comes to my mind as my car has done 3yrs + without a single niggle on these issues.

As you say, get it checked in your upcoming service.

What you anticipated is true..The parking lights switch has some problem I guess..If I move it to one direction it works...I will ask them to replace it during my first service...
