| I have Logan 1.4 GLX 5000 KMS done. In city conditions I get only 7 to 8 KMS/Lit with 100% ac on, pretty disappointed. Gave it for second servicing since 6 months over, so let me see it at all it improves.
There are Pickup is really really bad, totally unacceptable. In the highways it is risky, it couldn’t claim a shopping mall ramp, without use of handbrake. When compared to Santro what I use to drive before the pick of Logan is pathetic.
Steering is hard, when compared to santro and fiesta, it is really hard. Somehow am not comfortable with the position of the steering as well.

| I am back and I used an average of 7,2 ltrs per 100 kms this is a great result and the car had lots of power in reserve all the time .and dont forget I drive on the European super highways so I cannot drive too slow Stu In the countryside you can achieve 6.6 ltrs per 100 km just do not go above 2000 RPm when you change up and the same down But you can use 5th gear with very low revs Ie 2000rpm will work but if you need to accelerate just do a BLOCK change into 3rd and you will be OK My car is the 14 MPI Euro 4 I suspect you will still be using the 14 MPI Euro 3 in India But there is no difference in economy | |

Use this chart to find out your Ltrs per 100 km Stu A 14 MPI must be about 14km per ltr this will give you approx 7 Ltr per 100 km

| I dont quite agree completely with the writer there! I know quite a few people who took the Mileage Run and no one quite agrees to wat he has written! Ne ways! Everyone has a right to speak! There are people who have drawn 35+ with their Diesel Logans! AUTOCAR & OVERDRIVE who are independent Publishing houses have taken the Logan for a ride and Branded it 'INDIAS MOST FUEL EFFICIENT CAR', even they got about 33-35KMPL i know 42 is a bit unbelievable but i dont think Mahindra would drop to cheap tactics like not filling the full tank to fake gr8 mileages!! Hard to Believe!!! | |

| In summer when AC is on all time and from tank full to another tank full, driven in city and highway both, my logan is now giving average of 22-23 kmpl. The same was giving 28-30 kmpl during winters AC off and windows closed. Same gave me 32 kmpl once when I did not cross 1500 RPM drove lightly and smooth acceleration. Mileage totally deends on driving style. But if you are getting 20 kmpl also, its gud because no other big car can give that avg. | |

| I don’t have DTE. But i believe it should easy to find out the number of litters in available in the tank, based on the number of bars left. But these bars don’t seem to be proportional, the first bar disappear after 10 Kms, second one lasts little longer than 10 kms.
Has one calculated how many liters of fuel left after disappearance of each bar? Is it available in manual?

| Hi stu, hope all is well with you.
I am interested in using the program. It may be in romanian, but I suppose its the figures we are actually interested in. The (few) bits of text we can probably decipher.
How did u solve the problem of getting a connector to interface between the Computer and the socket in the glove compartment?
=========
I was complaining of getting of getting only 7.5 - 8.6 kmpl [11.6 - 13L per 100km] - with A/C on.
Well, today the Service Workshop did a formal road mileage test. The technical person drove my Logan 1.4L Petrol after filling the tank to the brim (literally) and drove in my normal traffic-ridden city conditions. He achieved a mileage of 11.3kmpl [8.85L per 100km] which was really good in crowded city conditions with A/C on.
[test drive was 30km in normal city traffic, with bad traffic jams, slow moving traffic, etc. He used 2.67L of plain unleaded petrol]
His method was to drive with absolutely minimal gear change, minimal braking, shift to 5th gear at 45kmph ... maintain 60kmph only and no more keeping tacho at 1500 to 1700rpm
My earlier driving style was to get to 5th gear revving the tacho upto 2000 to 2400 and keeping a max speed of 75 to 80kmph.
I am happy with the good mileage he managed to get in my car, but having to maintain 60kmph sucks.

Has one calculated how many liters of fuel left after disappearance of each bar? Is it available in manual? Discovered this today. This is for those of us who dont have the top-end GLS/DLS models We CAN get a numeric display of the Litres of fuel left in the tank. Get into Instrument Panel Diagnostic mode HOW?
1. Switch OFF engine 2. Press the CLOCK/TRIP button 3. Keeping button pressed, turn ignition key to turn on Instrument Panel 4. Keep the button pressed till you enter diagnostic mode (Tacho and Speedo will move in steps) 5. Press CLOCK/TRIP button for display check (all LCD segments will display) 6. and lo and behold on the next click there is a number (mine reads 42 L) When I discovered this, the reading was 45 L, so I wasn't sure if it was going to show in increments of 5. But after driving for a bit it read 43 and then 42. I could see that I was at exactly 3000KM on the odometer (another milestone passed for my car!) and the Fuel read 43L, now at odometer 3013km Fuel turned from 43 to 42L ...ie 13 kmpl NOT BAD AT ALL So I can get a kind of indication as to my fuel consumption and mileage without having to fill petrol And this is SO MUCH MORE ACCURATE than the Fuel Bars Indicator Also noted: Fuel Far indicator goes from Full Tank to one notch less at 43L remaining in tank(Still, I will maintain the classic method of measuring my mileage for the present - this is another way to get some more data out of the car ... maybe someday I will gain enough confidence in these readings to trust it)
