| Hi there, similar case here. I have got 18.5 kmpl with ac on at a speed of 80-90 kmph on highways; but usually get 11.5-12 in bumper-to-bumper traffic in Delhi, while about 13 in normal traffic conditions. Is that the usual mileage? comments please | |

| On the last trip to Chennai (last week), on the return trip I got a average of 16kms/ltr with the a/c on almost 100% and speeds of 90km-100km/hr. I have refuelled again and will check the mileage in city conditions. | |

| Hi Logan_lover,
Please do not get me wrong; for a car of this size, these are great mileage figures. Just that since I have got the car recently, was trying to check with the others in the forum.
Besides, like I said, 18.5 with ac on on the highway; not many cars in this category can match. Of course I must also add, that one was careful while driving ie. in terms of avoiding unnecessary acceleration.

| Thanks to all messy traffic jams last month in bangalore (matter of fact one was for 5 hours bumper to bumper traffic to travel 9Kms from MR road to RT Nagar) my fuel efficiency dropped to about 12. How ever can some one confirm me on the fuel capacity of Logan, twice it so happened in different petrol bunks, where they filled almost 48 Lts with last two points remaining. If i go by manual, it is approx 50, and each point is said to have an average of 5 lts. Both the times i had filled within 3Kms of the gauge hitting the penultimate point. | |

| Niloy, make sure you don't fill your tank with the key in the ignition. Before refuelling make sure you have taken the key out. If the key is in the 'on' position then it will not indicate the correct amount of fuel pumped in. You may then have to take it to the service center to reload the ECU values. This was explained to me by the person at the showroom before I took delivery of the vehicle.

| guys.. am getting a steady 12-13 on my 1.6GLX... am happy.. but wondering, should I be? point is.. for a 1.6 lit petrol sedan, 12-13 is a very good mileage.. driving in Delhi almost is like driving on highways.. my 26km run (office to home) takes only around 40-45mins (non-snarled traffic days).. with clear runs at 80kmph for long stretches.. | |

is this true? i don't see how one is linked to the other... knowing how highly skilled and knowledgeable our delaers/service engineers are, i really wonder whether to take this with a pinch of salt or with a bag of salt...

some crap given to the customers from an ignorant fool at the showroom. no ecu values needed here. its just that the fuel gauge does not update the status if the engine is on while refuelling. so its better to keep the ignition off.

| With the ScangaugeII installed, I am seeing that the good fuel efficiency is achieved by steady driving are very largely spoiled by what happens when the vehicle crawls along in anything below 4th gear, and if you have to stop frequently due to crowded driving conditions. Also when you haveto idle for long periods in traffic jams and for red lights. So if I am able to avoid driving around in peak hours, or to take a longer but less crowded route, the mileage improves significantly. All else being the same. .... | |

| Ashutosh, have you refuelled your car while the engine was running or the key in the ignition and in 'on' position? If yes, then did it reflect the correct amount of fuel after you switched it off completely and started it again? | |

| Rajesh, Yes I have done that. If the car's engine is running and the car is being refuelled, the fuel gauge will not update itself. However, if you switch the ignition off and start the engine after the refuelling is done, the fuel gauge will update itself. | |

| Yes.. There always is a difference with and without AC.. approximately about 10% depending upon your driving. The service manual also says that there would be a difference of about 4% but that i guess is a lil modest | |

| Hi allAbout fuel consumption here in Egypt, on high way it consumes approx. 333 Km per 20 liters of fuel means 16.65 Km per 1 liter, but for in town approx. 280 km per 20 liter means 14 Km per 1 liter, and according to my experiance its realy good fuel usage as my fathers car is Lancer 1.3L and it makes the same fuel usage or even more. "all previous numbers are without AC" | |

| I am otherwise a very satisfied owner of the Logan..... But for the mileage and the engine noise - I am getting around 8 kmpl with and without A/C in Hyd city. The engine noise increases tremendously when I switch on the A/C. Its a new car and has done 650 kms till now Is this normal? Or should I wait for the 1st service to get over? let me add - 1) I drive with a very light foot. 2) I dont cross 2000-2500 rpm in any gear. 3) I shift into 5th gear as soon as possible | |
