Creaking sound

Hi:

Few days back I purchased a new Logan 1.4 GLX. Now, I am facing a minor issue of creaking sound near to the left door - soewhere close to seat belt. These happen on a bad road surface. Before, I take this issue to the mechanic, I want any to from anyone whether there is any way that I can solve the problem myself.

Hi Mahsel... welcome to the forum

I had a similar problem. It was the seatbelt pulley that was making some noise. the service center guys did some taping and lubrication, and the problem was solved.

i want to know how the Driver information system in GLX is it right and tell me what is your mileage in petrol in city and in long drive.

1.4 GLx mileage in city with A.C. all the times approx. 11 to 12 kmpl
on highways with A.C. all the time approx 14 kmpl.

above are my readings after 13k kms.
initially the reading were down by almost 1 kmpl in both cases.

mahsel: it could be the door latch assembly. A lot of people had problems with this and it was replaced under warranty

as far as my understanding goes they dont change it but repair it by adjustments. this happens with almost all logans.

insist for changing. they may agree.

My service advisor voluntarily identified it and changed it.

He noticed the creaking during the test drive and said I am replacing this under warranty.

I check the issue with the service advisor and as you said rightly, with some minor adjustements in the door latchet, the issue has been resolved.

Did they change it to metal? Or is it metal already?

If it is still plastic, the problem will be back sooner than later.

It is already a metal latchet. With some tapping and greasing, the issue is resolved.
