Hey Guys I am not experiencing much noise from doors. Rather the noise for my case is coming from half opened windows and fromthe dashboard silver center fascia.

I an earlier post I had mentioned about vibrations from the doors. I now think it may be more to do with the glass.

It is the sound of the glass but the problem is with the doors. Once the latch/catcher is changed, u'll know.

Ok guys i finally did give my car for the Assembly change. It was told to me that it'll be done in about 2 hours but on being there, they said it wont be possible Neways, for the trouble they created, they have agreed to send the car back to me.
On going there, the first guy i met was again going to do the same old method of realigning the Striker but i opposed as that had been done on my car about 3-4 times earlier and the noise reappears in some days. All this BTW was happening cause the person i spoke to, Mr Devindra, was stuck in a meeting. Neways, later i got to know that Devindra had already instructed another representative to take care of the task. I heard him speaking to the engineer, he said that the Assembly had to be changed with the "New Retrofitment Assembly" that had come. The engineers did look surprised on hearing that which gives me an impression that they dont do it too often. I also heard the representative talk about the assembly saying that all the assemblies except the Ignition. Not really very clear though..
Will get my car tomorrow, will keep u guys updated..

I sorted out the earlier vibration by taking care of the scuff plates. I think the glasses need attention. I have driven on some horrible roads and I noticed noise from the glasses only. Also, after the rat episode I have vibrations from the dashboard too.

With windows not completely open or completely closed this noise does come. However it is not that much.

I do not bother about it too much since i rarely drive with windows open. I don't like the dust entering and sitting on my seats, dashboard and all around the interiors. Just hate that.

According to me they might have fitted the door windows with cheap rubber gaskets filling from within which is not holding the glass tightly enough. I may be wrong though.

Today I went to treat the rattling noise from the ceiling of my car. The ervice guys placed some foam between the ceiling and the reskin. Let's see if that solves the problem in long term. Also that might reduce the heat propagating from the roof. I was charged 197 bucks for dendrite and the foam and no labour cost.

Its been some time I last posted on the rattling noise. Lucky for me, (as Saumil quoted) I've stayed lucky.

No irritating noises after my initial issues in first 5-6 months.

@ Mir,Nothing u missing, its some rattle noise someguysare getting on bad roads i guess, i havent had it yet,nor have u,so we're lucky once again

My Boss has a BIG BMW that had water in the doors and has now been off the road 4 times this thing costs 40000 euros or the eqiv of 6 Dacia Logans
with less trouble

hey nayan........did they removed the reskin by pulling off all the rubbers and then inserted a foam.

even i am facing this ceiling noise problem and when i told this to my service center guys ....they told this solution but i doubted that if they remove the reskin fully....will they be able to replace it with neatness...

can u mention the name of your service center so that i can refer it to the ppl here in punjab...

This realy sounds like a heat problem !! I will photograph my roofing and you can look and see if its the same or is this part made in India

Its Royal Motors service center in Kolkata. They pulled off the entire reskin, pasted foam with dendrite(adhesive) and then refitted back the reskin. No the if I press the ceiling with my hand I can feel its tightly fitted with the ceiling. The job done is not bad. The resking is fitted back perfectly well.

Yes its a heating problem. I found out that if my car stands under the sun for long and then I drive, the rattling sound becomes very prominent. The service guys also agreed to that. Same is the scenario for the door noise also. Heat causes more rattling noise from door.

After the remedy there is no more noise atleast from the ceiling. Next Saturday I will go and change the door catchers before the warranty ends on 15-June-09

Seems pretty similar to what we have here, to me

i feel the material is of higher grade definitely. however fittings are the same.
steering material also is of higher quality. interior light has got a seperate passenger light for reading i guess which is missing here.
rear seat belts in here protrude from rear seat rather than rear dash board.
