Rattling sounds from the windows ...

Even I was told by M&M technicians at servicing that
they are studying and will come with official solution very soon....this was 2
months back.

Initially I mailed all my observations to M&M along with
photos but no response was there till now.

in my car they have replaced the metal door catcher wid a rubber catcher........sound reduced by 80%

now d only prob is dat d glasses r loose.....they produce kinda noise..`...

m also badly behind a mahindra official .....1 call per day....maybe he l get sm solution fr my car soon

I am yet to buy my Logan DLX. I was told this rattlign sound is a common problem and wanted to check:

1. Is thsi a problem in all models?
2. is this a problem irrespective of PowerWindows or Mechanical windows?
3. Does this occur only if the PowerWindows is not a factory fitted?

Having heard these stories in the forum, now I have my own doubts about buying unless Mahindra Renalut comes out with a solution immediately. Otherwise, I may switch to a Ford Fiesta :-(

Mahindra-Renault has already come out with a solution and is testing it @ factory! u can go ahead and Buy ur Logan and i guess by the time of delivery/service the problem will got sorted!

Have to get my car serviced this weekend, rattling noise is still there, lets see how they fix it and what they do ? once serviced will update here on the outcome

Theres an official solution available with the dealers for the same. They are changing the striker of the door. I have got it done and voila, No more door/window rattling..

Oh great saumil. Did they do it free of cost?

HITESH: Does the noise come from the same door?
If yes, then please catch them cause one of my doors had a similar problem and for the same, the hinges had to be changed too.. I've heard this is cause the Logans door is a bit heavier than other cars..

i only have got the catcher changed.......the one which catches the door...

i dont know about the hinges...maybe will have to talk to them about this

Yesterday, I took my car to workshop. I complained about the door noise. They told me that they will adjust the doors. What I saw is that, they pulled of the rubber lining around the door catchers and literally hammerred hard for some times on that area. Since I was watching that from the visitor's lounge, I could not see it clearly. But now all the window/door rattles r gone, however don't know how long this peace withi the cabin will remain.

It will come back soon..
This is only temporary..

Then I will again start bugging the service people. They already get tensed whenever I visit them. I have argued with them so much.

From my own expiriens- so adgasting halps for a short time.
Instead of the rabber lining the best way- is to change door cather, only latch hook to another- self made from brass or another soft metal. I did so for a left door( driver door)
As I anderstood that the trembling and sounds from windous follows of the door trembling.

The rattling sounds are in fact a big mess. I have a very bad sound from the rear door. The dashboard also seems to making a lot of noise. I plan to get it done next week but this seems to be one big persistent problem.

Alright, I spoke to some service manager (guess west region) and he said that they now are changing some Door Latch Assembly. As soon as it is in stock, he'll gimme a call. Will keep u guys updated. That is the official solution to the Tak Tak Problem
They say, the Logan has very sturdy and heave doors. Its a Norm in European nations to give security to passengers on Side Impact too and not just from front. This makes the Door heavy. The manager said that not many cars in India have such safety features.
Mahindra didnt actually understand the difference in the Indian and european Roads

u knw guys .....i have wrapped black electricity tape around the catcher....atleast every 10 mins on sunday keeps my cabin silent for a week

I have started noticing noise from the door. Its only there on bad roads. The next time I go to the service center I'll bring it to their notice. Lets see what they do.

I somehow am facing this problem very rarely.
Either there actually isnt any noise, or that I am going deaf in Bangalore Traffic.

But on a serious note, should I actually take it up with the service guys?
Is this bracket change FOC?
