There are many other features in DLS and DLX. But if the above mentioned points are the only points you want to go in for the DLE...

1. Problem: Power Windows switches are located on the dash and hard to reach.
2. Problem: Rear seat power window switch is wrongly placed (and a person sittign at the back can step on it!)
Solution: buy DLE version and add Power Windows.
Questions:
a. If I buy a DLE and add Power Windows then can these switches be placed on the driver side door?
b. Will these lead to any kind of rattling?
The switches of aftermarket power windows are indeed fitted on the doors. no feedback on rattling yet.

Solution: ??
No solution. But once you get used to it, then there is no problem. In fact, i like this way better. My right hand in always on the steering, with the left hand handling the gear shift and the indicators.

- 4. The inside handle for the doors are missing and the hand rest on the inside door panel (which ismade of plastic) is not comfortable.
Question: Can I add door trim on top of the plastic?
Some foam can be added. I believe experts like Stanley, etc must have a solution which does the job and looks good as well.

- 5. If I buy DLE version (because of (1) above), can I add head restraints?
No. This was the first question I asked the dealer during the first free service. The rear seats in the GLE/DLE do not have the clips that support the head rests. So one will have to get the upper portion (backrest) of the seat changed.
Some people got extra foam inserted where the headrests are supposed to be. But that doesn't solve the problem. The head restraint is a safety device, it prevents one's neck in case of a whilplash when someone bangs your car from behind. Sad, that Mahindra's engineers are so stupid that the removed something as basic from the base models.
