Can anyone please let me know which lamp are being used as the standard factory fitted foglamp in our logan, I mean, is it of the H3 type or H1. I am planning to replace the lamp with a more poewrful one of the same specification, that is the reason I am asking for the same.

When replacing a bulb, use a H11 bulb. this is the Correct bulb for standard Logan Fog lights

I got Fog lamps installed a month ago .pretty cheap Rs.1000.the cutting was not a smooth job .but im happy as the fog lamp switch is integrated in the stalk .Replaced the bulbs with halonix ones 55W .I'll post pics in a few days.they dont seem to make a difference in thick fog but definitely do during night time.

i seem to have a problem .the fogs work only with low beam or high beam .i would've preferred if they had been independent of high/low beam. is it the same with logans which came with fogs as standard .

Fog lights should only work on low beam and they really only help you to see the "sides" of the road in front of you !They will not cut through fog Nothing can !
they should be fitted only to come on with low beam and to go off with high beam

It comes with a black outline which is on the outer glass itself. Not a rubber beading.

my dealer refused to add the fog lamps as an afterfittment.he says they would fall off after some time as the screws would get loose.He says replace the bumper with one which has the groves for the fog lamp,get it painted to the car colour & then fit them.

Is he correct or just trying to make an additinal bill.

@Vishal, the way your dealer mentions i obviously the safest and recommended method but also the costliest! No one would spend about 7-8K for fog lamps right! So get it done from an aftermarket store!

Dont you have the places for the foglights ? they just need cutting out and fitting

Dealer says it is possible but not long life.Fogs would come out/clamps would not hold more than a year.There would be no rubber/cushion cutout to absorb any vibrations & hence problematic in regular use.

One of the front fog lights bulb is not working. I am shocked to hear from the service center that one single bulb costs Rs 1800 . I have decided to get a bulb from outside preferably the white ones. Guys please tell me what specification(e.g H1, H2, H3....) of light should I go for without burning the existing electrical wiring. I saw one car in service center came with a burnt wiring and cost of the repair was around Rs 22,000.
