| Hello All, Pls let me know if some one knows how to find out the month and year of manufacture from the chasis nos. would be good if someone could post what each element of chasis number stands for.

| I guess the following is used in finding the month and year in Mahindra Renault
10th Character - Year of manufacture
So for year :
7 - 2007
8 - 2008
9 - 2009
A - 2010
B - 2011
C - 2012
D - 2014
12th Character - Month of Manufacture
So for month :
A - Jan
B - Feb
C - Mar
D - Apr
E - May
F - Jun
G - Jul
H - Aug
J - Sep
K - Oct
L - Nov
M - Dec
I is left out to avoid confusion with 1
Last 5 Digits is serial no.
First 2 is Country code. Generally for India I have seen as MA.
Add more info if you guys decode the VIN | |
