| hi,ajitmal i got my ORVMs changed to new ones at AML ranigunj though it comes in black those guys got it painted to match silver mist, the new ORVMs have bigger field of vision compared to the old ones, and they give a masculine look to the car.

| Hello Mr. Prasad, Thanks for the information. I will contact the FastTracks shop. BTW, are your new ORVMs electrically controlled or manual ? Regards, Ajit | |

I would get it changed if it were electrically controlled. But I wonder if they will be as sturdy as the current ORVM.

| AFAIK the new mirrors are also manually controlled. They have been changed in design only to accomodate easy folding and provide larger mirror view as per feedback received from customers(Apparently ) | |

The newer mirrors are electrically controlled if you buy a new car. I checked in new cars and there is no manual control like the older ones. Couldn't spot the electrical control switch though. If you want the new mirrors for older cars, then they will only install a manual version it seems.

| hello, mr ajitmal, the new ORVMs are manual, but they are sturdy enough since my right ORVM took an impact with a bike handle, which pushed the orvm in the opposite direction and it is still okay. like you said iam eagerly waiting for an electrically foldable unit which will be a boon for wide bodied logan, like the one on I20.
byefor now. | |

| I agree with Prasad.. My ORVMs also got some multiple impacts from overatking bikes' handles. It just got folded in the opposite side which can be brought back in right position with just a little pull. This is because the joint is along a curved edge. @rdr: The button for the electrically controlled mirrors should be just below the hand brake lever in front the boot opener button. And fitting the electrical mirrors on old Logans needs complete wiring change as told to me by one service advisor.. the cost of which will be around 20k. | |
