| Hi Loganizers, I am Balasubramanian a prospective Logan Owner. It is really great to have a forum like this for like minded people and helping each other with useful information.I have decided to buy Logan DLX 1.5 .I understand that an improved Logan is round the corner. Can anyone tell me when it will come about and whether I should wait till such time? Please also enlighten me whether Diesel cars give frequent troubles if not used regularly ?I am asking this because my usage is very limited and I will use the car only on Weekends for two days and a couple of Outstation trips in a year and I am going for diesel as it is the more popular model of Mahindra and for saving on Fuel cost as the price of Crude is skyrocketing year by year ?Nice to be a member of this forum and I wish you all a nice time in the years to come. bsmanian | |

| If you are an infrequent user of the vehicle, you should do a quick calculation of the total savings in diesel you will make over using petrol over 3,4 5 years to see if the higher purchase price of a diesel will make sense to you over petrol. Its difficult to recoup the difference in diesel car if you drive less than 100km per month | |

| Yea! As rightly said,
If u cant justify the cost difference between the Diesel and the Petrol by utilising it as much, doesnt make sense! No Doubt that the Diesel has a Jem of an engine and also it returns super Mileage, still it doesnt make sense if u wont use it as much looking at the price difference between the two!
Secondly, the Logan Diesel is a highly technogically advanced engine and like most modern Diesel cars, the cost of maintainence isnt as much, infact the Logan Diesel is even cheaper to Maintain than some other Petrol Cars!!
- Also, i wish to say that the New Logan ISN'T around the corner! I Strongly Believe that it'll be atleast 6-months to a year OR MORE till the New Logan Inevitably comes to India, till then, enjoy this one and i am sure you'll Love this one! Its a tremendous Machine

| The Logan, indeed is a car for LOG ON.-concept of fill it /shut it/forget it. I have been using diesel version for the past one year and clocked 15000 kms till date. The performance is mind blowing and being driven in Chennai roads with a vehicle similar to Mercedes C Class dimension is simply superb.I am extremely happy with Renault and their tie up with Mahindra has given this impetus.Thank you Mahindra! | |
