We need PRACTICAL IDEAS to promote our Forum!
Please use your graycells and share with us what you think and your ideas!

As for me,

1. I think More we talk, More the popular it gets! So spread the word!!
   
2. As Stuart said, Add http://MahindraLogan.co.cc to your Email Signature. THIS IS THE LEAST EVERYONE CAN DO!
   
3. I was thinking of this one from a long time, How about printing small and un-intrusive stickers for our Logans across INDIA?!? By un-intrusive i mean, may be a horizontal, transparent background with just the alphabets(kinda)!
   
4. Post the URL at BLOGS! This works well with Google! The more the mention about the forum, better!

The sticker idea is good! But in my opinion, there should be a common font. Difficult, but not impossible. And it should also have the 'owners club' or something of that sort. otherwise, people will think of it as the company's or the dealer's website.
Example:




- Whenever we go to the service station and meet any other owner, we can tell him about this forum and ask him to join. There is no harm in chatting with an another owner, is it?

Also, the sticker should be UNIFORM FOR SURE! We can definately get it printed sumwer and courier it across INDIA!! wat say! the cost will be marginal!????

Some thing like this or wat Ashutosh suggested!
This is just a REPRESENTATION!
We can use them on the Glass behind, front or on the body or anything!
Guys we need suggestions and ideas guys!!

Rear Glass stickers with only outline of fonts is a great idea I think.

Printing of these stickers is done on vinyl media. Fonts are die cut and come with peel off tapes.

The whole sticker will be packed & shipped as a small roll and can be applied by th eowners themselves.
Cost of printing and die cutting is usually 125/- per sq ft. (that was the rate in 2007 May)

Very happy to know that you are so interested in the idea and are willing to participate! We need everyone to be so to carry on!!
Anyways, we can finalise the design at a later stage by polls but we need everyones stamp on the idea to carry on! No pt printing them and no one uses them!!

tis looking good indeed, and not much expensive as well. but, i would prefer a smaller font.

I think the stickers are a great idea, I think there is one more option to explore, here we will need a little help from the company and the dealers.
While registering and also as a part of the buying process your email id is asked and procured by mahindra. They can easily part with that data only and since this is primarily a pro LOGAN forum, I dont think Mahindra will object.
Emailing a online brochure to all LOgan owners would be a very cost effective option.

Saumil, there are 704 members on orkut logan site, but only 152 of them have bothered to join this forum, why do think the remaining 550 odd are not joining. How can we get them to join our forum? lets ideate . . .

Folks, Im in for the sticker idea. Was thinking of that for some time too. I am not sure of printing but if it can be done at one place and all of us can share the expenses and get ourselves a sticker to put up.

Out of the 700 odd members, almost all the ACTIVE users have joined the forum! Others are those who just come there and join for the sake of it! I keep on promoting the Forum there! I WISH EVERYONE ELSE DID THAT TOO!! It'll help a lotttt

Hey Saumil,

I do not think by only putting sticker on our car will help us in site promotion. Though I believe this is a good idea.

Yesterday I met 2 new LOGANIZE. I told them about the site and registering benefits like-help in troubleshooting, other information etc. We all can do this whenever we meet some Loganize.

Another idea probably posting informative blogs about our out station journey will also make the site more popular.

As i said in my first post, mouth to mouth publicity is THE BEST method, as i said, the more we talk, the more popular this place gets.. Stickerin is a visibility idea. You obviously cant talk to every Loganizer but they definately will see your car and ATLEAST once try and see wat this is all about hmm???
Also about Posting on blogs, i said that too in my 1st post, that GOOGLE and other search engines love blogs and writing with our URL tag will Definately make it a good visibility in forums and get visitors too..

All i want to say is that we have to implement these things and not just talking right guys???

We have to be more people if we want to be a force to reckon with and for the same we need to be popular, so please GUYS... HELP THE FORUM HELP U.. :-D

I think the best for us would be to go for body or windshield stickers. The earlier we do it, the better. Bangalore has plenty of logans cris crossing the streets..

On another note, all airport authroised taxis in Bangalore are logans and more than 600 logans are operated by 2 companies here.

I am in for it..... I liked the font used by vsuprak.

The font size looks good for rear wind shield but for front wind shield it should be smaller.

Putting stckers on both the wind shields will be better idea. Only care has to taken that if possible the sticker should be fitted from inside the wind shield.

Let us get together , finalize the design, do the costing and proceed.

Let us finalize some stuff wich is pending and we'll take up this thing..

1. I feel that the stickers will be a better option and give more clarity and notice.
2. Number plate is too low to be noticed.
3. Email signatures definitely will catch up and help.
4. As far as the orkut group is considered, lot of people just come online for passing time and gathering info not all will be active or bother to become a member of our group,

Another trend is that people join in become member, get responses to their questions and disappear, due to this in spite of having large no of members the active members continue to be less.

During our visits to service center's we can interact with the other owner's there and tell them about our forum, also we can have our forum gear, T shirt's designed and printed with our forum name and logo

What all do you guy's feel about the same ?

hey man.. its a good idea. now if you want all the people across the orkut logan community up and posting on the forum, we need to post the link individually on each persons profile . now that can cause a spam issue and lock down your individual accounts for 24 hrs.

now to get thru this issue:
1. send messages instead of scraps to the whole community every two days so that they may join.
2. send forum invites to all on facebook whenever possible.. if all of us start sending it out, it will start developing interest directly!

in my idea, i think we can first test run the logo onto to all the guys who have been posting in this thread. then we can gradually start pressing it with all the other online buddies we have!!

we can put this forum as an article up on the TOPGEAR Magazine which comes out with Mahindra. i can try to contact them or write up somethin myself and then get it published in TOPGEAR. but i will need a unanimous vote with this.

the T shirt will be cumbersome, as we will have very less people willing to pay for it.. (common mentality ~ no offence!! ) any person for that matter wil like to have it free that to pay for it!!

the sticker is a bang on idea .. will need someone who is good at designing logos to put up a few choices on which we can finalize!!

i hope this give a new angle to the publicity gamble we all have!!
