| Folks,
My Verito D6 wipers ceased to work post servicing. I was told by the service representative that the entire wiper motor/motor assembly and the linkage needs to be changed (costing approx Rs 14000 in Indian currency).
Upon doing some findings with assistance from local serviceman, I found the motor linkage arm was disconnected and not fixed as was earlier. So also the motor gear housing was slipping due to which the wipers ceased to move though the motor itself was in working condition.
Need guidance, on getting this problem fixed from a trusted source with genuine parts which I am unable to find locally.
Any directions with a good service tech will be helpful so that the issue can be fixed prior to monsoon which will start in about a months time from now.

| Folks - I finally got the wipers working without approaching service center. The fault was found with the transmission gear which connects motor shaft to the wiper linkage. The gear wheel was rotating but its shaft which needs to rotate with the gear wasn't. Eventually, replacing the gear and connecting the linkage arm fixed issue. Find the pics of motor/gear with labeling done to understand (of course with the limited knowledge I have with parts). | Thanks @martin. Not to mention, the entire job was done in 1/10th the price quoted by the authorized service center and it took just a couple of hours time rather than having to leave the vehicle at service center for an entire day. So it was saving on time and money both.
I couldn't find any information on wiper issues and hence thought this experience was worth sharing with the pictures. Hope it helps rest folks in the community.

Hi, I am facing the same problem wiper not working all of a sudden since last service. The blades oscillates a little from the rest postion while the ignition switch is on (even when the wiper switch is off) thereby causing slight disturbance while driving. As per authorized service center, entire assembly costs. Rs. 16000/- and there is no other option. I am also from Navi Mumbai, could you share the contact details of the mechanic who fixed your car. I would like to take a second opinion before changing the entire assembly. Regards, Ranjith
