cooling fan is not starting automatically..

My Logan's cooling fan is not starting automatically plz help me out.....I already tried disconnecting battery

It will only come on when it needs to ! it does not run all the time .Only when the motor is too hot will it come on !It can also come on when you are stopped and parked up so do not worry it is OK (UNLESS YOUR ENGINE IS REGISTERING VERY HOT) ie all the bars lit up on the Temp gauge

I have just read one of your other posts !!!!! WHY POST IN THREE DIFFERENT PLACES !!!) Ok you say your bars are to high on the gauge !then I would say your thermostat could be stuck or the coolant temp gauge is not sending properly to the unit ! run a live connection to the fan to see if it turns removing the battery will have no use whatsoever
but get it fixed and do not drive when its to hot or you will blow the head gasket

also check to see if all the pipes to and from the radiator are hot !!!! If not then it is your thermostat just let the car tick over when it is at 6 bars and see if it comes on maybe it is OK dont let it get to the top though

Its browser problem sorry....everything gets posted twice......problem is solved got sensor for rs.1000

Okdoky ! anyway I (we) are pleased to see you got it sorted Please though DO say where you got the sensor for rs.1000 from so others can use this

Authorised workshop in Pune....kundan motors....at chin head....spare part was for rs. 883.49 n they charged labour charges 100 rs.also topped up coolant
