| I wanted to know, whether anyone here has added the side visors as accessories (Genuine Logan accessories)
I am very keen to get those installed, but am not sure how well they suit the logan. None of the Mahindra dealerships in Bangalore, apparently have it in stock, nor do they intend to order it, as the local aftermarket ones seem to be doing rounds in showrooms.

| I guess you are talking about the ones that are fitted on doors at top of window on external side. i have seen one logan with those. it looks OK. Not bad or ugly. i find them very useful during rains where fraction of each window can remain open without rain water entering cabin. | |

| The after-market stuff isnt too good. I understand that the genuine ones look much composed and better.
Any dealers in your cities offering original MR stuff?
Website / accesories brochure does mention those.

| After market ones look cheap unless from some renowed brand. The plastic finishing is all crap. Also their durability is another question. | |

| Make sure it is fitted within the door. If stuck outside it looks very shabby. I have seen one or two fitted outside. | |

| Thanks SK,
I am looking for the one where the visor is fixed inside the window frame (the logan OE accessory has it).
I am waiting to get my hands on that. Until then....

| I did see that. It looks good. Since urs is a white car, it adds to the appeal even being outside the door frame.
On mine, I simulated the looks on the computer and found it makes it look fatter. So im waiting tilli canget the OE side visors. Lets see. In case I dont find them anywhere, probably, I'll try getting from some thai market maybe

| hi guys,
got a set of visors put on my car this week end. original (more appropriately from MR at show room AMPL in Secunderabad - Hyderabad) costed Rs 1500/-. however, they were also stamped "for LOGAN". got a set from the market - the best available costed Rs 1150/-. depends how much you can get them down to - I had started from 1350/-; look pretty decent. unfortunately am not too tech savvy or I would have posted pics as well.
I dunno how does the costs in Hyderabad - Secunderabad compare with Delhi; am new here.... had to get it done for the same reasons as stated by Mir..
also got 3M SP series sun film for all sides and rear (less windshield) for Rs 2700/-.

| Thank you Mir. Which one do you think is better? Garware or 3M? And what is the specification of the film you would suggest? | |

| Well i cant really comment on 3M, though i feel should be good as 3M is a good brand.
However i have Garware (light silver shade) that almost looks transparent. Dont know the exact figure but i got the highest sun reflective index figure available in that category installed. There is a replica of this which is much cheaper but the looks are drastically different. the replica is more shiny and looks are similar to a mirror.
Looking at purple car, this shade will look excellent, try it out once. Apart this shade you have option to go for dark black shade if you like that. Though it may not be approved from the Traffic Department.

| Thank You Mir. Anyway i got to check out both garware and 3M. How much did it cost for you when you installed them? And since your film has got highest reflective index, does that hamper your visibility? | |

| Garware sunfils are the only ones approved by RTO's across India. 3M has been working to get some approvals for thier range but nothing so far. I myslef have installed 3M films. They are doing a pretty good job. Costed me about 3500 without front windshield. Llumar and VKool are good brands too. But are more on the expensive side. Good luck anyway. And yes, a word of request. If you do find Side visors when you go to get your sunfilms done, please enqquire if they have the genuine logan accessory. | |

| I dont remember the series. But i think it has 70% visible light penetration. Heat rejection is also good (i dont remember the %). It does look a little darker from outside. If i can recollect, it was the 3rd darkest from the top. (Not legally approved by RTO & Cops). Bangalore still does not have any regulation on sunfils | |
