| I have come across some forums wherein people have recommended against the usage of A/C during running-in period. Is that a recommended practice? Let me please know your opinion.

| By the way I find the cooling power of the A/C inadequate. Only setting it to maximum makes some difference. Is it the same with all you people? | |

| The heat in India is killing, at times yes only the max can cool but you have to live with it. I wouldnt put it as inadequate cooling... | |

| For me I have to keep the fan speed to the lowest. Keeping it to higher speed simply freezes me. Now don't say that Kolkata is a cold place. | |

| Get some good quality film on all the glass. I have even had my front windshield fitted with a special clear film that prevents 60-70% of solar radiation from entering the car from the front windshield from outside, without affecting vision. This should reduce the load on the AC a lot | |

| I have fit 3M sunfilm from the dealer. What is the sunfilm you have installed on the front windscreen? Does the specification of the sunfilm state that it cuts out 60%-70% heat? | |

| The Sun film u put on the Windscreen should strictly be selected on Visibility + Sun rejection. There will be a specification available which would mention both. Check the product book from the dealer else the website of the manufacturer. Also, I have Film-Pro 70 installed. Cost me about Rs.7,000. | |

| I dont recall the exact specs of the film for the front but it alone certainly costed me more than all the other films put together.
All I remember was that it was imported and had to be heat treated to fit the curve of the glass because it is in one continuous piece unlike the rear window which is made up of 3 to 4 strips of glass. Also fitting had to be done by a front glass film fitting specialist.
The car accessories shop will be able to show you a range of front windshield films of varying solar rejection / visibility figures. Someone with Bangalore weather complaining that the AC is insufficient ... maybe the AC needs to be checked . | |

| Yea TOM, Ditto for me. The film had to be heated to be put cause of the reasons u already illustrated. As for the Brands, I suggest, Film Pro Lumar V-Kool is very costly though but great visiblilty/heat rejection ratio.. Garware on the other hand is the cheaper alternate.. | |

| When you go to a service station, check other cars. If u find any difference, ask the service guy to do the same. Also, do u have a problem all through the day, or just afternoon? | |

| My colleague has also bought the 1.5 DLX. I'll do a initial comparison with his vehicle and then proceed further. The problem is all through the day. | |

| I used my 1.5DLX with AC on all the time during its run-in period. > Ran for 1st month w/o any sun film. Then got 3M fil done and immediately observed difference. > Even at my company (Toyota) we do not have any restrictions on running vehicle w/o AC in the initial phase. Surya | |
