I am Supratik.... from Mumbai... The latest addition to the Logan family...

I have booked a Logan 1.4GLX after a lot of extensive research. I wanted a sedan within Rs.600000/-. Hence, short listed Swift Dzire and Logan. But finally I felll for Logan because of the space and also better mileage (I hope it is true...). Moreover, Dzire had a delivery period of almost 6 months which put me off completely.. I hope I dont regret this decision.

I Logan will be T. red in colour... I will be getting the delivery of the car next week.

Great Forum, landed here accidentally though.
Bought my Logan DLS 1.5 in Nov 07, have done 15.5 K so far, very satisfied with the car so far, overall performance. Got a spoiler fitted while buying and that changed the so-called 'Boxy-look'.

I am vinod from Chennai, Working as a multimedia developer, I own a 1.4 GLX and my car is currently I year old.
Here are few blog post which I had written when I had bought my logan.

The perception has changed after I had taken a trip from Chennai, TamilNadu to Thrissur, Kerala and back home.

my logan 1.4 GLX petrol gives a bad mileage with in city limits of 9KMs/lit and on the highways and incredible 14KMs/lit and at a cruising top speed of 160KMPH on an average of 100KMPH was the ride. The one thing I hate on my logan is the RPM, it just took of to close to 5000 RPM at the top speed, Yup I am clearly aware of the ideal RPM limit which is being 3000 RPM.



My logan was dependable, had good Stability on the straights, but had poor cornering stability at 110KMPH on the turns of the Bangalore Highway where as the Verna did an absolute 110KMPH with G force not affecting its stability.

Braking is the ultimate, I seriously love the way the electronic braking system works on the logan. Very promising on the straights as well as in the corners, as I had earlier mentioned on a top speed of 110KMPH on the bangalore highway curve, I had a dragging feeling towards the railing, I did apply the brakes and in a giffy the logan was back in to control.

Inspite of being a proud owner of Logan 1.4GLX petrol, I would still recommend future buyers to opt for the diesel version of Logan, they are worth long drives while punching little holes on the pocket.

Welcome Vinod - If you drive at high speeds and feel the need for more grip/stability - get better tires. But more on that elsewhere in the forum - welcome again and kudos on informative blog..
