Stu, am new this Logan, and dosent know much about its wiring, though what I know is the CD player gets started first when key is turned on before instrument cluster get electricity. As in when I insert the key and turn it, first CD player get electricity then turning the key more lights up the panel and along with it that vibration occurs.

Those Glow Plugs make a MASSIVE drain on the battery and all-sorts can happen By that statement I meant, as soon as all lights glow in panel as goes off before ignition. This vibration in needles starts along with the lights glowing, and eventually stops before all lights goes off (including Heater/Glow plugs i.e. a coil like orange light) and then I start the engine and everything behaves normally. Its just that initial vibration frightens me

Will do that and see if problem persists. Stu, Is it about any fault in fuses, or electrical somewhere?? B'coz I've seen the fuses and they are all intact. I've ordered some new spare fuses (from 5A to 30A, all 5 pieces) and are handy with me. Would you suggest me to change the complete fuses with these spare ones???

| No Nothing to do with the fuses They just let the electricity travel and if you get a surge of to much electricity they blow so nothing in that direction Dont worry about it | |

| Martin,
Please share the PDF file of the Logan workshop manual, I know we may not understand more than half of it but worth a look.
The service advisors fleece customers or try to, once you are in with your vehicle. Hence it may be helpful.

| Stu,
The Logan's wiring in India seems to have some unsorted issues am not sure. Even the service guy could not explain.
There is a common fuse for the cigarette lighter and roof light. If this fuse blows out, the needles start trembling. To a point that you feel they'll snap.
I had this issue 2 times and both the times sorted it myself.
Just a tip for guys who use the car regularly, the fuses cost on an average of somewhere between Rs.15-40 each. So when your vehicle goes for a service, always ask them to stock up the fuse spares (left side of Dashboard) and give you 2 fuses extra of 10A 15A 20A each (I do not recollect the max rating but you can check your fuse panel). Helps a lot when you need to do a one off changeover and still leaves you with peace that you have more in spare.

Hi ssksskss0, Yes,i checked all the fuses which are there on the side panel, but all are good. What can be the possibility of that vibration then. I've a dome light(automatic dimming) in which only one bulb works and i dont know how and what kind of bulbs to be used, when i asked about the spare Dome Light (whole set), guy quoted me around Rs. 2300/- for that so i ignored. Is that because of dome light it is vibrating or any other possibility that i could ask the local repair guy. - vsuprak wrote:

Thanks Hi Madhavan, No sir, i've am not able to rectify this issue yet. I dont know about my CD player wiring because its done by the garage shop. Also, if ask the local garage guys, some of them doesnt know how this problem arrived or some just says, let it remain like that. How could i know by which wiring this vibration is causing because i've checked twice the fuses, they are all good. Hence came to this forum for a solution.

| I would find the wires from the cd and then remove them and look for another Live wire I am sure mine is on the Cigarette lighter which can be used when you place the key in park and not in off ! Now do not forget you have another cable on the radio it is the Memory I think its yellow you could then run this direct to the Battery and you will not be using any wrong outlets Here is the fuse for the Cigarette lighter blue arrow .But normally you will have the cable already waiting for you ! Pull out the radio and have a look round for a cable they hang down over the heater switches so you need to look ! and I am sure this wire comes from the Cigarette lighter ! one easy way is to take out that fuse and see if the radio still works ! I bet they have fitted it to the interior light The cable what is ready for your radio is like this Or similar and if it does not fit you can use a special connection which fits on to it and your radio | |

| Hi In my Diesel Logan 1.5 DLX, The tachometer & speedometer needle in Instrument panel vibrates for a second as soon as the ignition key is started. After that it works normally. Has anyone faced such issue. Should I need to worry about it ???? It resets the time on the cluster & the stereo gets off & doesnt on.
After removing the stereo, the problem still exists. Even the display in the cluster is also not showing any reading
