| Hi, I have verito D6, a year old now. even i have faced this issue. other 5 gears are very smooth, but when it comes to reverse gear, most of the time i have to put the gear twice to get it right. some times it feels that reverse gear is put properly but after releasing the clutch car never moves, so i have to redo it by getting back to neutral. I had discuss this with the service ppl in my last free service, but they gave me some silly reasons and said it could be because of the way i use it. | |

| I agree with Stuart... the service guys also said the same thing.. put it in first, then in reverse...no gear lashing noise and smooth slotting. | |

| guys this may sound awkword but i used to run a driving school myself and i know learners cant shift the reverse gear that easily also there is a simple solution of gear lever getting stuck and not going back completly wich martin mentioned before and not just for logan every car as i have used some maruti cars and tata's also.. just put it in 1st gear and release the clutch a lil bit just to give a small push and then again press the clutch fully and put reverse gear it will go like it goes in any other gear smooth and easy... note learners mostly forget to press the clutch again after 1st gear.. | |

| Sometimes its also because the clutch is not fully depressed ... the Logan clutch needs a full toe press to free the gears ... and especially for the reverse gear ...

| Not only Logan, every vehicle requires a full clutch before changing gears. The Logan particularly have this problem in some of their pre 2009 models. I also have the same problem, told it to dealer many times, but somehow they were not able to find a solution to it.
The simple solution i discovered was before reversing my vehicle, i would engage the first gear and take the car a bit forward. Then i would engage the reverse gear. | |
