| Can someone tell me what should be the maximum speed at each of the gears and the rpm at which one should switch gears to get maximum mlieage. for both petrol and diesel vehicles. eg on 3 rd gear at a speed of 40 and rpm indicator at 20 switch to fourth gear. | |

| For best Mileage, change your gears before/at the 1500RPM mark and avoid crossing the 2000RPM mark! You'll notice a tremendous change in the mileage!! | |

| ensure that u do all gear changes under the 1500 RPM mark -
Dont pull the vehicle initially and take fast pickup,
u can drive up to 80km /hr speed under the 2000 rpm,
the above steps will give good average, also drive with windows closed, this will reduce drag and increase efficiency | |

| I beg to differ here dushie! Even if u read the manual, it says "AT THE SPEED OF 100KMPH ALSO WITH WINDOES OPEN, YOU'LL GET A MILEAGE OF +4% THAN WITH ACS ON!" I experienced it myself too!! Try it ! | |

| Good driving tips are given here: http://www.carwale.com/research/tipsadvice/ It does work, reach to top gear as quickly as possible and follow instruction by Renaullt (booklet), always drive lightfooted (if you want to save fuel) My research with Logan says: 5th Gear 2000 RPM is best (around 80kmph) - I get 18.4 in city (Diesel) | |

| I have taken max avg 32.1 km/ltr on highway, I drove it at 60 km/hr speed and applied min brakes, I pulled my leg much before speed breakers so that I do not need to apply brakes and in this way I got avg of 32.1 km/ltr. Normally driving at 80 km/hr speed and driving same way I can 28.5 km/ltr avg. This car is cool. I saw that it is giving worst avg in city, lower than 18 km/ltr. When I drove with speed of 120 - 130 km/hr, I got avg of 14 km/ltr!!!!! Lower your speed is greater avg you will get, this is what I have seen. | |

| Getting 32kpl is no easy feat, I must admit! But is it at all exciting? I mean, there must be a feeling of pride, but don't you think you are missing all the fun? I always shift at around 2-2.5k, sometimes 3k. I do get less mileage, but I have no regret! And with the rev-happy nature of the 1.4 MPi engine, I enjoy it every minute! | |

| I got less fun, but actually I used to drive too fast for more four years of engineering, I had all fun of driving fast. My coll was 25 km from my home and I used to get highway after 8 km, then I used to drive at 120-140 km/hour speed, no matter what was the avg, I was just breaking my own records of reaching college in minimum time. But when I purchased Logan, now I am in business and my factory is 60 km frm my home, and due to the meter which shows mileage, now I am making records of getting highest mileage.. Its fun for me to get highest mileage, in my home there are three logan, my 2 uncle(chacha) are having logan and I am getting best mileage and breaking my own records, and driving with speed of 80 km/hour it hardly takes 10 more mins to reach factory. But now I feel how safe I am when i m driving with speed of 80, the car is in control of mine, no sudden breaks.. Try out getting best mileage using the meter in front of you, and try to beat yourself by getting best mileage, its fun, try it. | |
