| I got wheel alignment done at M&M workshop on the 15th of Oct. Ever since the vehicle was getting dragged to the left. As i've had many issues with the workshop, I got it checked at an MRF workshop. Please see the report below: As the result shows, both left and right Toe was out. left Camber was also out (by about half a degree). Got the Toe fixed. However they didn't have the tool to fix the camber. I want to know if the Camber can be adjusted on the Logan? | |

| camber can not be adjusted by any tool but can be adjusted by grinding the original screw and fitting it with another screw on its back to push it out... in india what we call jugaad.. | |

| That is Correct but normally you do not need to adjust camber angle on front wheel drives ! "Unless you have whacked the car like crazy up a kerbstone" | |

| Thanks Guys,
Stuart ... I haven't whacked the car like crazy or otherwise up a kerbstone. Wonder why is it out of alignment. But what does it say about Mahindra services?
Nitin... Jugaad at M&M is a scary idea!
I haven't got a reply so far from M&M.

| stuart here in india we dont need to do anything the roads are so bad that we cant stop the camber or alignment of the car to b effected... i seriously feel mahindra needs to give it a strong suspension for indian roads from last month my cars suspension has become pretty hard i can feel every single pot hole also i can hear sum dug dug noise while on bad roads got my car checked at service center i was told some rubber bushes of the suspension are worned out and needs to b changed and i was more then surprised to hear the total cost of about 3000rs. for 6 rubber bushes(in which 2 were of support rod clip type rubber vessels and 4 of jump rod like round vessels)
i just wish mahindra seriously does something about costly spares and stop looting customers like ford and hyundai
parag they wont do anything as they have a easier solution and for which they will also make some good money they will ask you to change whole shocker if u want to save your hard earned money go to some outer place like u went to mrf guys some alignment specialists they will help you..

| well stuart then i can only say that in india we are not getting the same thing there must be some change or may be lack of quality because its not only my car or parag's i know 2 guys personaly who faced same problems with suspension and camber and in both cases they had to change the shockers and all the bushes costed them about 10,000rs. also i have read on net from some other indian users that they are facing same sort of problems with the suspension of the car... | |

| In my case, the suspension is ok, in fact smooth... the suspension of the Logan car is much better than any I've driven on Indian roads. That includes, Fords, Hindais, Marutis and TATAs.
Pot holes could be an issue, as i've driven the vehicle out of city many times... just don't remember having hit any big crater!
M&M BTW is yet to respond to my mail.

| i've done more than 43000 kms in 2.5 years. The suspensions are good.
I want to know if the Left Camber being off alignment half degree from top (needs to be moved outwards from top) could be a major issue. I don't feel much difference while driving...the vehicle does get dragged slightly to the left.
How will the front left Tyre wear ?

| A Big Renault problem on these types of suspension is the Springs break !!!! Have a look to see if the front springs have broken if you hear weird noises from the front they SNAP in the middle http://mottester.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/clio-spring.jpg

| since wheel alignment doesnt cost much you can do this during your regular service intervals. I believe logans generally pull towards left & i guess this is the problem with most of the India sedans. | |

| If your tire wear is Ok and not one sided then save your money ! you do not need to have the toe in adjusted untill work has been done on the wheel or a accident ! and as for Logans pulling Left ? where did you get this from ?? | |

| Thanks for the reply.. Yes there is improper wear in the front tire, they looks to be more used in the inner side.. and about the pulling left, i am not sure but, yes its drags on either side.. | |

| I too had the camber issue for the rear side when i checked alignment at New Bararth Tyres here in Cochin. They too said they cannot fix it and had to be done at TVS which is the Authorized service center here. Its been about a year back.
@Stu you have mentioned about spring issue. I can here some sort of a similar sound on the left rear side on my Logan when it goes through uneven roads. The sound is somewhat like the one you get when you bend and release or compress and release a spring the 'Zling zling' sort. Hope I am not in for a serious pocket drain. In 1.5 to 2 months my next service comes up was hopping to get it fixed then.
