| Hi Friends,
I am facing some issues with the Horn for the last few days. sometimes it work some time it doesnt, seem to be some loose connection. I tried to look for the horn, but its not visible. does any one has an idea where it is located/positioned under the hood. Second question here, Has anyone replaced the Stock Horns or added additional Horns?

| @Vishala, Image below shows the location of the Horn. By what I can understand, it is in the Front LH near the wheel well. You can see the tire on the bottom-right of the image for reference. | |

| @vsuprak
Appreciate your response. I had gone through that PDF earlier and tried to locate it, but was not able to find it. Have you located it? Any idea if it is located inside the front bumper?

| Have you tried looking in the enclosure between your front grill and the radiator? That area is not much accessible or visible from outside.
Stuart MUST be knowing this. I'll try PM'ing him on this.

| I'm now facing this problem for the last 1 week and one of my horns isn't working. And I'm stuck with the problem of accessing the Horn. Will update if I get a breakthrough. | |

| So I tried to access the horn today and check what went wrong with one of those. Was I successful? Well, partly YES and partly NO. YES because I could actually trace the location of the horns finally . NO because I could not set right my horn problem due insufficient space to put my hands into and also due to lack of proper tools. I tried to follow what was given in the service manual page and a page link sent by Stu. Now, the Indian Logan/Verito seems to have its 2-tone Horn, each in different locations. I've tried to document the same through photos which may be of help to fellow loganizers. When seen from outside, the horns should be located somehwere behind here. The back of the bumper is protected by a metal frame plate, so your horns are actually secured behind that plate. compare this with the European design, where the horn is located beneath the frame that houses the battery! To be able to access the horn, you will have to disconnect and unmount your battery. Yes. The only way you can do this without removing the battery would be to remove the front bumper. The series of photos below will show you what exactly I did. Now that we have the battery removed, follow my photos like a walk-through. Peep down below the headlamp wire connector. Much behind the parking lamp connector (orange colour) That thing in the back with a small center ring is the LHS Horn. You need hands that are as slender as Katrina Kaif to be able to touch it and check the connectors. That said, I could actually visually see that the wires here were intact. It was at this point that I actually realised the fact that the Logan DOES NOT HAVE both horns in the same location. Aarghh the agony when you know you have to repeat the same procedure all over again at a different location! So here I had to wrap up the LH area and then move onto the RH side. Here was a different story all together. Too many cables, fuel byepass line, coolant lines and what not. As you start to look beneath the headlamp assembly similar to RHS, this is what you get to see. And finally my culprit..a disconnected connector. It was a pity that I couldn't push my hand through. However, even if I were to be able to reach it, I don't think I could have been able to plug it in back to it's point. And so it waits till next service. I guess this above pictorial will help you guys to atleast trace where your horns are

| vsuprak my horn was adjusted 3times and changed after that and everytime they took it out by opening the black lining cover behind the bumper under the fender(rite over the tyre) which they open while changing the diesel filter u can reach to the horns easily from there..
my low tone horn was giving me a problem after 1.5 year and i think it was because i drove my new car into water(heavy rainfalls), it stopped suddenly, i went to the workshop and service guys just adjusted the screw on back of the horn and made it work again, after 2 days it again stopped i again went there and same thing was repeated they said they cant replace it as they dont come under warrenty and all but again after a 3,4 days it stopped and when they repeated the same thing i lost it and i just asked them to take the bloody horn out and i will put a new one from the market myself as it hardly costs 400rs and i wasted alot of fuel and valuable time for that and i refused to let them put that horn back in my car so they talked with their manager and all and changed my horn with a new one and its been 2 years i am using the same pair working good.

| @ Nitin. That is some useful info. Infact the only reason I had to access my horn from the onside of the bonnet was because I did not have the appropriate size of the screwdriver bit to open the fender lining.
I'll try to get a bit (screwdriver tip) forthat and see if I can do it.
Thanks | |

| u r welcome vsuprak and i think fender lining has only one screw under it and rest are just plastic locks u can do one thing u can go to a local mechanic and with his little help u can remove the lining and then can change or repair the horn as u want... | |
