| @ Nitin,
Not on the Logan, but on my dad's M800, I had to change the battery while he was away on a trip. I changed frmo Exide to Amaron then and since then (2006) I've never heard that battery complain again.
Should be decent according to me.

| Most batteries are technically the same, only the major difference will be in warranty. So If you dont believe in warranty then go for the cheapest one available in a good brand. I have not used Amaron, So I cannot comment on it. But it is in my sis car placed about a month back and it is fine. | |

| That is really a good price. I changed mine with Tata Green for around 5k in exchange of my the then existing Exide dead. A new Exide was costing me 9k | |

| They call the new age batteries maintenance free but you need to do basic maintenance to get long life - like cleaning the acidic ash that gets accumulated. | |

| My battery is showing signs of ending life. Cold starts in the morning cause the MID to go blink-blink-blink. I've run 75000kms and 5yrs now. Last time I changed my dad's car battery, I went for an Amaron. Was an absolute peace-of-mind. Am thinking of the same now.
Any suggestions? | |

| I faced starting troubles on couple of ocassions in past 1 month, got it checked from a nerby battery shop, voltage on multimeter was prett good, then he removed the battery and did some load test and said better to replace the battery, he showed amaron 65din rs.6000/- after buyback of factory fitted exide. I have couple of doubts 1. Exide is 60DIN is it ok to fit a 65DIN Amaron? 2.is there a possibility of any other fault other than battery. Mine is a Logan 1.6 petrol, 46k KM, 3 years and 4 months. One more thing i'm fully confused with prices, saw some of the replies in 2010 quoting battery rs.8k and 9k, has the price come down due to competition ? | |

| plz get checked from authorised service centre or your usual garage & not from any altoo faltoo garage . coz Logan is prefitted with long lasting maintenance free battery which lasts minimum up to 4 years . unless vehicle is parked for long durations like more than 15 days battery gets down on voltage . whenever ur vehicle is sparingly used then car should be run at regular intervals of max 4 days | |

| After 5 years and 76000kms, my Stock Exide battery was showing some signs of retirement. I waited for a month and yesterday changed to Amaron Flow Series. Costed me 5300 (Rs.6700 - 1400 for exchange of old one).

Please also help us with the rationale behind this choice. Looking at the performance of the stock Exide, I would think of going back to an Exide showroom and asking for a battery with similar spec. Is that more expensive ? or Is the one you chose performing better in the field ?

| I had previously got Amaron installed in my dad's car and though he used it less, it survived 7 years straight without a complaint.
That was one of the reasons, apart from their onsite support.
Warranty is however only 2+2 years which I am ok with.
