| I have 1.4 GLX and want to have CNG fuel option too. Is it possible to have duel fuel arrangement?
If so, what are the drawbacks of this arrangement? | |

| This is not available as factory fitting. However you can check for after market fittings if they can do something. Drawback can be: - Aesthetically is may not look good and rather awkward - Cylinder will be in boot space all the times - Waiting times for refuelling. - Possibly lower pick up speed - Possibly delayed startups - 1.4 GLX engine from the outset not designed for CNG - You may be the first logan 1.4 GLX owner with such arrangement that this forum might come across | |

| @ Thomas, i suggest go for the company fitted CNG.. LPG stations are few and far. Thanks to a lot of public transport on CNG, you should get good availability. Also, i've heard that in a well fitted CNG kit, your mileage should also go up and there shouldnt be any loss of Power!!

| @ PM & Thomas,
Apart from what is pointed out by Mir, I would recommend to have a word with the dealer of your area first, to know if any other car has got a CNG/LGP kit fitted.
While there are many kit providers who will do a decent job of fitting the kit, the Dealer possibly through his service centers will have a better idea of how the vehicle will respond to such kits in terms of wear/tear, serviceability etc.
It might give you some reasonable insights.

| Renault warns of possible engine damage in Logan MCV and Sandero. Who drives fast heavy loads or long, should switch to gasoline. LPG is more harmful than previously thought. Two weeks ago, AUTO BILD reported on possible engine damage to vehicles which were converted for gas operation. Renault now even warns against models that are sold ex works: Both the Dacia Sandero are LPG and the LPG Logan MCV According to the homepage "not for the full-load operation with LPG qualified". The importer should be confirmed to Auto Bild, that are fully extended at full speed drives on the highway, loaded or trailering down the slopes in the gasoline mode. Otherwise, the holder risking damage to the valve seats and the engine overheating. Renault also limited for these cars the warranty to three years, while there is an option for all other models in five years. The warning of their own product Renault hidden in a footnote. | |

| I would not bother !! Honest I own a 2007 Logan 14Mpi I get 7,2 ltrs per 100 km combined looking at a years use ! I don't go out and say hey today 9 ltrs and tomorrow 6 ltrs I only look at the combined and do not even reset the gauge leave well alone and buy yourself a nice stereo or some good tires with the money you save ! look how far you will have to drive to make gas pay ! and also it has to be bought fitted and serviced .................Its Not worth the bother in my eyes This is just MY thoughts Stu | |

| 12000 km per year is not worth the effort ! what will you pay for the system and to be fitted then what will you pay for 12000 km for Petrol and what will you pay for 12000 km using gas !dont forget you wilol not get the same fuel consumption using gas its less ! so and then add the difference in gas and Petrol to the price of buying and fitting and servicing and also the additive you will more than likely need and its not worth it ! and you will have to find out if the Valve seats are hardened ready for Gas ! Some are not on the Renault motor | |
