Logan 1.6... No More??

yup its started now.

how much more are the ones with ABS and airbags

as far as i know difference is not less than 1000 usd between the two.
it can be more though.

Ex-showroom for DLS-ABS in Delhi is 6,95,801 INR so its a difference of about 25,000 INR

so my information is outdated, rather wrong.
the difference is about 500 dollars.

This was the difference 1 year back too.

Anyway.. no responses from mahindra-renault directly. Does anyone have any info from their dealers as to why this is happening?

please read Mr Jani's post more carefully. It clearly states that 1.6 GLE and GLX are in production but available with CNG kit only...and that too only in Delhi for the simple reason that there is where CNG is available.....which means that normal 1.6 is no more available anywhere else. Do correct me if I am wrong!!!

1.6 is still around.
however to create demand they are trying to bring in company fitted CNG and then introduce the same into market. Lets hope this may trigger some demand.

romeo i agree with your assessment.. this skirting the issue technique is a very common tactic to mislead, yet staying within limits of the law regarding misinformation..

If 1.6 discontinued due to duty increase then why they have discontinued 1.5 DLS and replaced with increased priced 1.5 DLS-ABS, its like one more nail in coffin, In India very less people undestand benefits of AT, ABS & EBD.

They seems highly demotivated, Is Logan sales going down sales figures of Ford Fiesta, new Icon, Getz, Zen Estilo, A-Star, Accord, Punto etc etc, we can still see them regularly advertising in all media, news papers but M&R has given up on advertising front, No Ads, No Popularity, No Explanation ..... what they expected is Logan is HIT in EU countries so people here in India cant refuse.

Common you hefty salary takers of M&R what happened to you - what smells to me is lack of co-ordination in JV or M&R, a company selling tractors for years couldnt understand how to sell a so called sedan.

Ezee, with the DLX coming in, the bridge between DLE and DLS has been filled! Yes a LOT needs to be done and i last saw in Pawan Goenka's last interview that they have some plans ans are waiting to know Renaults plans for new models and strategy, lets hope things only get better!
I think they serned as we have spent somewhere between 5-8 lakhs, they have an investment running in thousands of crores! So it should be more a matter of concern to them!
