Body Cover?

I'm going to be getting my logan soon!

The official body cover costs Rs 2600/- (according to my dealer - India Garage in Chennai)

Is it worth it buying that? Are cheaper body covers available?

Can anyone recommend a place in chennai where I can get it?

Covers are not a good idea ! only in countrys that have a lot of snow and freezing temps need them
In Hot countrys it is a breeding ground for rust ! It will sweat under the cover and start to rust
Just polish it and leave it outside it will be ok
and dont poilish it for at least 2 months !!! the paint is still settling down

The Genuine cover that the dealer will sell is Dupont TYVEK material. It is a kind of breathable fabric (Appr. Rs 2000/-).

Regular Silver color type covers are also available.
Having been in the accessories business, I do not recommend a cover in case you use your car daily.

However, if you take it out only on weekends, wash your car → dry it completely and the put the cover and leave. (for your satisfaction)

It WILL get scratches any way.

Also remember, no car cover is 100% waterproof. It it gets wet, then you run the risk of leaving your car with a moist surface everytime, leading to future rusting problems.

Thanks for the inputs. I stay in chennai. And over here, if I just leave my car standing, then you can accumulate close to 1.5mm of dust in a single day. So, thinking of a cover.

Also, when you park it near or inside an apartment complex, people through stuff (solids and liquids) out of their windows and that lands on the car.

I have also noticed some white pigmentation falling off from the walls (white washed) around the parking lot and sticking to the paint with my older car. It is very difficult to remove.
