I got my logan 26 days back and have clocked around 1500KM on it (driving around a lot more than normal). I normally wouldn't exceed 1000KM in a month. My question is that service is due at 2000KM. But, I have a long drive coming up to a place that doesn't have a service center. And I expect to drive around 1000KM totally. Should I get the first service done right away at 1500KM or is it ok to wait till I come back (it would be 2500KM total by then)

The grace period is another 800kms over and above 2000kms. I gave my car for service at about 2700kms. I spoke to the service center people before that. You need to speak to the service center people and confirm before you undertake the trip.

They will charge you approximately Rs300/- and more for the topup of fluids. Nothing really is done, just basic wash and inspection and looking into any issues you raise.

I ended up driving close to 1800KM before the trip. So, took it for service anyway. There was no charge.. car was handed back to be half an hour.

Said nothing was necessary as of now. About the wash.. it was raining heavily, and there was mud everywhere. They said I can bring it back in for a wash later.

Hi Friends, my second service is delayed by around 2 months (56 days) to be precise but the car hasnt crossed 10000 KM yet. Its around 6000 KMs. But the dealer is saying my service coupon has expired and i am not eligible for that. Is it true? mechanically I am still eligible for the service isnt it? What should i do? should i argue/contact mahindra officials or should i be submissive to the dealer's demands and pay him the service costs? thanks

Its either the distance or the kilometers. If any one of these two exceeds then you have some talking to do. Normally they accomodate if its within their grace period. But if they say its not possible then try another service center and if the answer is the same then you have no option but to pay for the service. Ask them if this lapse affects the warranty in any way.

Try speaking to the service manager if required. I assume, they may not do much to entertain the request, but you never know how things could shape up

Pl let us know whether any other service centre accepts the delayed service. If so, then we can conclude that these dealers plays the card and charges from the customer.

I recently got the second service done. A low ratting noise started from the left side after the service. I got it checked again... and saw them jack up the car and tighten all screws and fittings, including the bumber screws, under body shields etc. Surprisingly most of these were loose... after the tightening job the car has become much more silent than before ! The point is.. they are supposed to check and tighten all fittings in the first service. Do insist on the same in the first service and make sure that they do a proper job.
