| Yea! Lets talk about the USP of this car!! ITS Amazing Mileage! Wats the Best/Worst Mielage and wat measures u take to reach there!! Everything Else abt the Mileage Goes Here! NOTE:- PLEASE DONT POST WAGUE FIGURES LIKE 25, 26, 30 KMPL IN CITY etc TAT YOU GET TO SEE ON THE METER AS YOUR MILEAGE OBTAINED AS THIS IS NOT WAT U GET, THIS IS JUST THE MILEAGE U CAN OBTAIN IF U KEEP DRIVING IN THE SAME MANNER AS U ARE, WHICH IS NOT POSSIBLE ANYWHERE IN INDIA RITE!! YOUR MILEAGE SHOULD BE CALCULATED ACCORDING TO THE KMS DONE IN A TANK FULL OF DIESEL/PETROL. FOR EXAMPLE:- IF U DO 750 KMS TILL YOU REACH THE PETROL PUMP, AND WHEN U GET THE TANK FULL, IT TAKES N 45 LTS, IT MEANS U ARE GETTING A MILEAGE OF 16.66 KMPL.THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE. PLEASE USE THIS OR OTHER PRESCRIBED MANNER TO CALCULATE YOUR MILEAGE BEFORE POSTING ITTHANK YOU_________________ LOGANIZE!! ;-)

| An easy way: Here is a simple way of estimating a car's mileage. Full-to-Full:
- Go to the filling station and fill the fuel tank completely. Completely means up to the brim!
- As soon as you enter your car, note the odometer reading (kilometers done) before starting the engine. This reading is the starting point. If you have a tripmeter or two, you can reset it to read ‘zero.’
- Use your car as you usually do.
- Once your fuel gauge indicates a half- or quarter-full tank, visit a nearby filling station, preferably the same one you tanked up at the last time. This will help reduce the error.
- Note down the quantity of fuel it takes to fill the tank up to the brim.
- Note odometer reading once again. This is the end point.
- Now calculate average/mileage/fuel economy of your car as the difference between the starting and end points in km divided by the amount of fuel required to fill the tank up at the end point, in litres, OR average fuel consumption = (end point – starting point) / Fuel quantity
- Alternatively, divide the tripmeter’s reading by the number of litres of fuel required to top up the second time.
Note: You can carry out the same procedure once with the air-con on and a second time with it off, to calculate the effect the air-conditioner has on your car’s fuel consumption.. Source: CarWale |

| Guys, what Saumil is suggesting is perfect and FYI dont just believe on readings you see in display, these readings are not as intellegent as you (believe me), follow manual as I've mentioned above to get correct readings. For correct FE min 100 KM's drive suggested before you fillup tank again and also at petrol pump the nozzle should auto stop and should not try to fill max manually. |

| I have also checked frm filling in petrol pump, there is hardly any difference in mileage shown in dashboard and calculated manually. I did this when my logan's mileage came near 25 and same is coming by calculations.. Now mileage is less as AC is on. |

| Well as i have posted before , i am getting between 18 - 19 km. i drive around 790+ on a filling of 42 liters of super diesel fuel. i use only BP. Dunno how others are gettting such high mileage of 21+ . I never used the aircon,i don't drive above 80km speed gear change ratio is as per manual,i don't take fast pick up or rev the car. Service center people said to wait till 10,000 kms then the actual mileage will come. _________________ Dushie

| I got about 660kms on 39 litres of diesel. Ive not yet finished 1500 kms but this run was 80% on good highways at constant 85-90kmph - the rest in chaotic traffic in Bangalore and Chennai. Never crossed 2200-2300rpm - mostly on 2000rpm. AC always on. You guys think this avg of 16.92 is decent enough? |

| Brand New GLE 1.4 ... not reached 800km on odometer ... getting only 314km on 41 litres of fuel (only city driving + ac always on) works out to 7.5 - to 8 km per Litre ... I feel this is actually quite poor even for a new car. whats is everyone else experiencing? |

| Drive well brother! Read the forum for good driving techniques! avoid crossing the 2000 RPM mark and if possible also 60KMPH mark(this isnt necessary but would be good for your car in the long run). Slower pickups would do a lot good too!! u shud get abt 10 but also its a new car, give it some time! it'll deliver!! Though, dont expect miracles from a Petrol model!! _________________ LOGANIZE!! ;-) |
