guys check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbgacxCytP0amazing just 32.31 lts of diesel from delhi to ahmedabad. this is a distance of 981 kms making a mileage of almost 30 kmpl. total cost would be around Rs. 1100 no other car can do this in india. i play blind on this. any one dare to challenge. amazing stuff... though i own petrol version where mileage is not the same, but i bet no other petrol car in india can give me what i get with A.C. in city. i am a proud owner of logan.

There are similar tests done with Fiesta too. All in tie-ups with some or the ther magazine. I'd rather, you stick to your FE figures. Its more realistic and reliable under YOUR driving habits and conditions

Real-Life Mileage: Just completed a short trip. 2 cars. One Logan. One Swift. 3 passengers each. Round trip of about 300km. Both with AC on, lots of traffic, slow-moving crowded route, long stops idling with AC on waiting for ferry crossings, etc. Had filled up together and both vehicles were driven practically side, and on many occcasions with the Logan leading by upto 1 - 2 kms. What was nice was filling 21L for the trip on the Logan and a comparable 27L on the Swift, after we returned to town. So under similar conditions, this was a good real-world comparison of fuel consumption.

my new logan gives me 8-9 kmpl in heavy city traffic 9-10 in light city traffic and 16-17 in highways(100-200km runs ) .....but what is to be mentioned is that i have just upgraded from my maruti 8oo and yet to be fully adjusted to a car of this size.....also all the city drives were start stop rides in heavy bumper to bumper rides in 1,2 utmost 3rd gear averaging only a 3km distance to my workplace.....so i think by the time the engine is ready i finish the ride.....but the highway rides are to my native place 200km far with moderate ac and these are the rides i enjoy the most.....i am still waiting eagerly for the first service and will comment again on the mileage then.

Before 1st service i also used to get low mileage. I guess after the first service it should improve a bit. I am getting around 11 kmpl in city with A.C. after 9500 kms of drive.

I recently did a round trip of about 1000 kms in 2 days. I did 702 kms in about 35.10 lits whihc means thats about 20kmpl. The entire 700kms was on the highways. 60% on excellent highways doing 110+ most of the time. The remaining 40kms were on good roads but not real highways, touching 100 sometimes but usually at 70-80kmph. 4 people with a good amount of luggage with the AC on through out.

I did a 1000 km + 2 weeks back. Bangalore>Madikeri>Manipal>Udupi>Malpe>Puttur>Madikeri>Bangalore almost 25% route, roads were non-existant Pathetic. BAD roads, rains, mist, traffic all that you can name. A torture trip for the car. But we were really feeling cosy & comfy inside. 1080 kms with 48 ltrs diesel = 22.5 kmpl AC on 90% time.

I ve read that logan Tank capcity is around 60 litres if u fill it up till the neck and it seems to be correct as per my experience. So if one is manually calculating mileage based on the fact that the full tank is 50 litres , as per the Manual its may not be accurate ... I am not sure how the DIS is calcualting mileage whether it takes 50 litres or 60 litres as full need to be checked out .... Also the mileage test is usually tuned for the vehicle to give high performance ...

Doesn't matter what the capacity is. You fill till auto cut-off, drive around 100km. Fill again till auto cut-off at the same pump. See how much goes in and calculate. |
