My logan already crossed 15000 kms, these days AC is on and mileage is around 24-25 kmpl, Earlier in winter I used to get 28-30 kmpl, so I thought to chk it once again. For some 60 kms, i switched off AC and drove with constant speed of 60-70, and avg came was +30 kmpl. Mileage depends on your driving style, I drive smoothly, I know every speed breaker, and everything, I control my car without brakes. I stop accelerating and take away my leg frm accelerator, and let the speed go down to go frm speed breaker. Like this there is no fuel loss. When accelerating, I do not press accelerator hard, I accelerate with speed slowly, so that no extra fuel is wasted..[ ]

Hi all, I bought my Logan DLS 1.5 (T.Red) on March 13th and have driven upto 2400 kms as of today. But I have noticed my car's fuel efficiency is only around 11-12 in city and 17-18 on highway. I keep switching the AC on and off during travel (roughly 50% usage of AC I guess). I got my first servicing done 2 weeks before. Logan sales rep had earlier told me that after the first servicing the fuel efficiency might improve. But I did not notice any improvement. By going through the posts in this forum, I am concerned. In the past I was using Toyota Corolla and I use to get the best mileage (much better than the company specification). Is there something wrong with my car? If not, what could be the reason for this low mileage? Regards Gans

Can we have a separate comparison for the 3 engines ie 1.4 Petrol / 1.6 Petrol / 1.5 Diesel ... it gets very depressing when I see the fantastic diesel figures u guys are getting!

Hi all, Can somebody advise on my original question? I have a Logan DLS 1.5 (diesel) car and its current fuel efficiency is 11-12 in city and 17-18 on highway. AC is used intermittently (roughly 50% usage). I have driven for about 2500 kms as of today and 1st free car service is also done. Though the sales rep had assured me about rise in mileage after 1st service. i did not notice any evidence so far. I never cross 2500 rpm and never accelerate in a sporty manner neither I do excessive braking. In this forum I could see mind blowing fuel economy statistics from various other diesel car owners. So I am slightly concerned and wanted to know is there any thing wrong with my car. Or what do I do to improve this? Thanks in advance. Ganesh

Ganesh, Please dont go by the figures posted as not all (i think) are true. Many people go by the trip computer mileage and think of it as the final mileage which is far from true. Also, please note that a Diesel logan will give u about 11-15 in the city depending on YOUR DRIVING, ROADS AND ALSO THE TRAFFIC. Your car is giving you a decent highway mileage and city isnt very bad. I guess u just have to drive a little better!! Try goin to the highest possible gear fastest, in other words avoid much driving in lower gears. Try, and keep us posted! _________________ LOGANIZE!! ;-)

I have Logan 1.4 GLX 5000 KMS done. In city conditions I get only 7 to 8 KMS/Lit with 100% ac on, pretty disappointed. Gave it for second servicing since 6 months over, so let me see it at all it improves. There are Pickup is really really bad, totally unacceptable. In the highways it is risky, it couldn’t claim a shopping mall ramp, without use of handbrake. When compared to Santro what I use to drive before the pick of Logan is pathetic. Steering is hard, when compared to santro and fiesta, it is really hard. Somehow am not comfortable with the position of the steering as well.

I am back and I used an average of 7,2 ltrs per 100 kms this is a great result and the car had lots of power in reserve all the time .and dont forget I drive on the European super highways so I cannot drive too slow Stu In the countryside you can achieve 6.6 ltrs per 100 km just do not go above 2000 RPm when you change up and the same down But you can use 5th gear with very low revs Ie 2000rpm will work but if you need to accelerate just do a BLOCK change into 3rd and you will be OK My car is the 14 MPI Euro 4 I suspect you will still be using the 14 MPI Euro 3 in India But there is no difference in economy
