Logan Service Cost and Spare Parts Cost!!!!

Thanks Stu, Just had a word with the service rep. Dude tells me that even if i put the boot, it would not help much as there is some dirt inside the CV joints already. Where as i feel it can be cleaned. Any comments?????

If the CV joints have got worn then yes you need to change them ONLY then How Many Km has your car traveled up to now ! !You normally know if the joints are worn as you can hear a loud humming on corners or even a crunching noise on a full lock ! I would tell the guy to fit a Boot if its not making noises ! he should pack the bearings and put on a new boot

There is no noise yet(thank god), but it does require a boot. my car has done 68000k. I am going now to the service center to take the car back. Will click some pics and report.

Hi Guys... Help!!! My Logan is done apprx 84000 kms, from last 3 days I am experiencing steering vibration, car dragging to right side (if not holding steering) and there is a free play too (steering). It is making noise too when running on bumpy road/ speed breakers..

Today I went to Logan Service Centre and after checking (technical road test and lifting up the car to see suspension beneath) they told me that suspension overhaul is required... cost 18000 approx.,

then I went to local alignment shop and they told me that JK tyres are worn out & hard and are having some bubbles therefore I need to replace tyres (they had done 43000 so far).. also the shopkeeper told me that suspension is okay...

I am confused what to do!!!!!!!! Pls help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stick your head under the wing and look for oil on the shockers 84000 on your roads sounds like it could be time to change the shockers and the tires sound like they should be changed anyway ! BUT why not change the tires drive the car and you have your answer because the Tires have got to be changed
