| Stu(Martin) has put it absolutely right.. The basic characteristics in a car should be right and it is made right in this proven Logan (Verito) model. By Basic characteristics I mean the ride, handling etc..
Verito (Logan) has decent service network at Chennai.
It has the following Authorized service centers,
1) India Garage 2) Zulaikha 3) MPL automobiles
They are ok ok, you need to be attentive as with any other service center.

| Hi Balaji,
Stu comes from a place where this very nice vehicle did exceptionally well, He also comes from a place where quality control is accorded highest priority.the spares are easily available off the shelf , online etc. This car was engineered as a low cost reliable vehicle for third world and developing markets , where its value , size and simple mechanicals would be appreciated. And it was a success worldwide. Unfortunately not so for our country. The logan was and is overpriced here as compared to its other euro and african markets. Its not done particularly well in terms of market share and is generally regarded as a decline model in our auto industry and also by our auto insurance cos. Most parts still imported with very low localization and the parts cost a great deal more than the parts of same segment but mostly better specced cars here. And the resale price is one of the poorest in the market. Simply throway for a decent car. The parts are still not available in aftermarket and mostly they come at premium (blackmail )prices. the mahindra service network is really something when it comes to stocking logan parts. A case in point. My car has done 24000 but its 2007 oct so 4 yrs. complete. I enquired last week only about the accessorries belt ( the serpentine belt with ac /alternator /water pump all 3 ) Price quoted Rs.3800/- Part available. I enquired about timing belt kit. Not available cost Rs.4800/- plus taxes plus labour ( AVIS Motors , Kurla ). and not available. they 'll order and get it bya fortnight. Even small locks , handles cost in the range of 2000 odd. please enquire with your local sources - known mechanics, used car dealers , spare parts vendors before buying a verito. Do not throw your hard earned money is my advice. The dezires / manzas / etIOS many credible options for you. They are decently engineered , all have proven engines , dealer rks, service station, original parts are competetively priced and easily available and most importantly there'll be some resale money coming back to you when u think of moving on.
sorry my 2 bits worth may ruffle a few feathers in this loyal community.
I too like my car but frankly its way past its sell date. And my experience with various service stations of mahindra is shocking and so are the spare parts prices of logan.
