| Hello everyone,
I picked up a bluetooth OBD2 adapter from Ebay, and am trying to use it with the popular Android software, Torque. After struggling to make it work (unsuccessfully), I am trying to figure out where the problem is.
The adapter pairs up readily with my HTC Android, but then seems to not be able to read any OBD codes from the socket. Based on these observations, I would suspect the adapter itself, or the fact that the OBD connector on the Logan is inactive in the Indian models. The 2nd possibility I now rule out, as I saw 2 threads pertaining to OBD2 usage on this forum itself.
So, is anybody else using this combination at all?
Logan (Diesel) - Bluetooth OBD2 adapter (ELM327) - Android (running Torque).
Would love to have this going, as besides the diagnostics Torque also shows Km/litres and so on.
Regards,
Anand Dhuru

| Update: Pin no 1 on the Logan OBD2 connector is populated, but *not* used in the adapter I purchased. OBD2 documents on the web suggest this is pin is not generally used in standard OBD2, and may be used for a proprietary function by a specific manufacturer.
Could it be that Renault uses this as some kind of 'enable' to start the communication? Any chance of damaging the ECU if I try grounding it?
