| The Main thing though is that you yourself s know you have a good car Were will you get so much space in a car for that price ! Did you know that the boot is larger than a Mercedes S series also did you know you can remove the back seat rest with just 2 screws and you have a MASSIVE boot !! and just look at the room in the back ! 3 people easy (Or 2 Mother inlaws ) The long service intervals is a Plus and the Knowledge of having Renault Motors is a BIG PLUS Yes Guys and Gals you did buy the right car ! and If you are thinking of buying one then go for it ! | |

| LATEST ODO READING IS 33070 KM . VEHICLE DOING VERY WELL. I HAVE CLOCKED AN FE AS HIGH AS 27KM PER KG OF CNG ON NAVI MUMBAI - PUNE - AND RETURN RUNS. OTHERWISE CONSISTENTLY GETTING 14 /18 KM PER KG ON CNG in the city on AC and consistently 20km epr kg + on highway in ac.. VEHICLE IS VERY SMOOTH ENGINE WISE. AFTER THE CLUTCH JOB , DRIVING IS FUN. THOUGH I HAVE RETAINED A DRIVER NOW. THE RIDE WAS ALWAYS NICE, THE SAVING ON THE CNG IS PAYING MY DRIVERS SALARY. tHE 25000KM WHICH I HAVE DONE ON CNG HAS SAVED ME ATLEAST rS.70000/- AFTER RECOVERING THE KIT COST. AND WITH THE PARTS SITUATION IMPROVING FOR THE BETTER , I CAN PULL ON THE LOGAN FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS HOPEFULLY. THE SPARK PLUGS NEED CHANGE MUCH SOONER AND THE THROTTLE BODY & IAC needs servicing after every 5000km and thats all the tinkering neeeded to keep the cng kit running smoothly. also i religiously drive on petrol for the first and the last kilometer of my evryday ride. now that i have sold the safari my other vehicle , i am using only the logan for everyday drive and shall clock up quick miles and not bad at all for that. | |

| By the way , Every time i go to fill cng at pump , i more often than not have a CNG run Logan from MERU CAB co filling up.. I make it a point to inquire with the driver about the engine. Guess what most of them had done in excess of 2,50,000km with the engine still as good as new. some had done even 4,00,000km + . the minimum i have found on the odo was 180000km. I know a tourist logan which has done 4,40,000km. ( this was 2 months back ) and the engine is as good as mine ( only 33k km ) in as much time. And mind you these figures are on CNG in one of the hottest, most humid , dusty ,polluted traffic areas where; bumper to bumper jams is a common occurrence.
Just goes on to prove why Renault has become one of the top automakers in the world.

| Hi Stuart. the R4 looked cool. specially dancing down the steps. looked like one hell of a capable car. i myself kind of falling in love with my logan. when i was looking at replacement due to the parts situation and and terribly inept service stations , i had numerous tds with more modern cars of more or less same segment. every time i would get back feeling my almost 5 yr old renau still felt better than the brand new cars. better handling far more cushy ride , generally more precise as a machine. so i still have it; much to the agitation of various car salesmen who patiently tried selling their wares. now that most parts are easily available , the logan ( verito ) makes a good case for itself for folks looking for 'function over form' and substance over gimmicks. | |

| Update @ 37600km - rear struts ( atleast one of 'em leaking according to service guy at Avis Motors , Andheri. Left frornt strut also seems weak to me. the steering ball joints and right tie also seems weak. as of now no suspension noises except the rear strut / coil noise. central gear floating foundation ( TORQUE ROD ) changed. PART cost Rs.1273/- + TAXES + Rs.350/- labour. Clutch cable ( Rs. 782.22 /- plus taxes + Rs.250/ labour ) changed new air filter element + scanning + new plugs and tuneup ( throttle body cleaning+_ injector cleaning ) + coolant change set me back by about 7000/- Car is so smooth now. absolute delight to drive. the morning starting problem is there though and doesnt seem to go away. mahindra techies say ' cng mein aisa hi hota hai...... ' the rest of the day its fine though. i wish some body could shed some light on this. nothing detected in scanning.... all sensors ok, new coil , new plugs, almost new like engine , new plug leads, clean throttle body and iac, clean injectors...... aur kya karein ? | |

By default it starts on petrol. the gas solenoid only catches on after the rpm crosses certain predefined rpm ( usually 2000 or so ). also i drive the first 3 km or so on petrol first up and last 3 also on way back home. so the car is switched off in petrol mode only. i also switch on to petrol if i get long stretches of traffic. my point is i drive far more on petrol than NGV converted vehicles. This is inexplicable. as the vehicle is in beautiful state of tune. almost silent engine while on idle. no vibration on the accelerator pedal. excellent fuel economy and performance like new. and this starting thing maybe i should just ignore it as its normal the rest of the day. but i cant...

- Hi Parag,
Try to get it shipped to somebody you know in UK /EUROPE AND ask them to get it or send it here. I am going to do that. Postage isnt much. Only the part that i wanted the IAC motor seems to be out of stock Hi Parag, They ship it with EMS, which is the international association of postal services. You should get an IEC (import export) number (very easy) and quote it in your address. The Customs at the International Post Office will call you and you can pay the nominal duty and clear the part. Highnoon, Try cleaning an lubricating the treaded shaft.
