Logan renamed Verito

Mahindra & Mahindra has finally renamed the Logan, it will now be called Mahindra Verito (Truth in Latin). This falls in line with Mahindra’s tradition of all vehicle names ending with ‘O’. Verito will now be a out-n-out Mahindra product and hence Mahindra & Mahindra will now make all the changes it always wanted to but couldn’t thanks to their limited control over the Logan.

However, we do not expect extensive changes in the car, steps have been taken to increase the appeal and work on the image of the Verito. Mechanicals are expected to be the same with more localisations.

Cost would stay more or less the same and the Verito is expected later this month. The under 4 Meter Verito(Logan) and also a completely redesigned Verito (Logan) are expected late 2011 or early 2012.

Mahindra has already created a website http://www.MahindraVerito.com will be up soon.

Was going through some other forums and I find that people actually like the new name and find that it is in line with the values of the car (Logan). Truth / Truthful.
What do you people think?

Does sound good to me as well.. But got mixed response from people around! Spoke to Ashutosh and he thinks it sounds like one Home Appliance Brand
But i guess, people will get used to it in some time. Same was the case with the Name Logan.

Just a Thought, Wish they had changed the Front Head lamps and the Rear lights as well. They look very dated now.. So does the Front Grille. I anticipated some changed there... Neways, good for us cause all the changes seem doable to our current Logan as well

Great.. I want the Back Chrome, the Back Lip Spoiler and the claddings! can do without the fog lamps! I dont want the Mahindra Logo though

Isnt it Disappointing they still did not change the Wipers! Is it TOO Much to do??? If they can change the Steering cover, the Front Grille Logo, the Back Logo, the Fog lamps, is the Wiper assembly going to be too much to ask for??????

And the half hearted effort in just placing a flap over the exisiting renault logo in the front which is similar to dacia's bottle opener design.
