| The doors when in fully open position are a bit difficult to close from the Fully Open position, especially for children and female passengers. One reason is the odd shaped door handle which requires strong fingers to hold as there is NO grip, also the door click (I don't know what to call it) which keeps door in open position has a rather stiff spring. Has anyone faced this problem , and is there an easy solution? Actually this is a very old problem, but keep forgetting to post regarding it on the forum. | |

| Absolutely correct my friend. All the female members of my family really have to put extra effort to close fully opened doors. To me the reasons are 1) The doors are quite heavy. If you put Logan in a sideways slanting position it's really a macho job to open the door on the side which is up. 2) Once the door opens fully then the distance to reach the door for a seated passenger inside is much more than normal cars. 3) The hinges at the position where the doors stuck midway are really a bit stiff. I found this same procedure in Chevrolet Beat, but those are lot smoother. | |

| I feel it is ok.. kids won't get their fingers crushed that easily.
That said, my 4 year old son has no problem closing the doors! | |

| I do agree it takes some effort to close a fully open door. But I am okay with it, no concerns. | |

| Has anyone found a solution to this problem ?.the heavy part is fine but the stiff part aint ..my left rear door has started rattling .the door closes with a very hollow sounding clack rather than a normal thud from the other doors. | |

| @ Karan, The door noise issue is a little different and is now cured in quite some vehicles. Mine as well. They kinda change the door lock assembly with a newer plastic one and the noise is no more there! Check the related door noise thread for pictures For the 2nd part, yes the stiffness is there in 1 of my doors as well. On observing, the part(cant name it) pointed by the red arrow in the picture is kinda rusted. Will get it changed and ideally should get better. Will keep u posted.. | |

| buy a 3M 4-Way Spray Lubricant or Wet Sprayable Grease and keep on using, this will protect you from rust etc as well with easy movement of doors.
