| Thanks vsuprak. I have an experience of using Amarons for the inverter. Did not have any issue as such.
In my old car I had got a Exide that was maintenance free for 5 years. I liked that very much - there was no hassle of checking water levels, adding water etc. I hope Amaron also has some such option.
My Verito is still new, so I dont have to worry for a few years.
Just curious: Your location shows Japan. Are you driving the Logan in Japan or when you are in India ?

| 2 years is about normal life of an OEM battery in any diesel vehicle. You are lucky if yours lasts longer. Battery life doesn't decrease even if you drive 100,000kms in 2 years - however it does decrease if you don't use your car for long periods like months at a stretch.
Battery lasts about twice as long in petrol vehicles.

| I feel the time has come for a battery replacement, my car is roughly 5 years and 10 months old, while starting today i could hear the whining noise, when the battery starts getting weak. Till now it has been a dream run on the exide battery. So any inputs on what battery should i go for as both Amaron and exide is good and which one to go for. I have not had any issues with maintenance free exide till now. | |

| I changed my stock battery in (2009) for Tata Green and it is really good. Also it came for almost 3000 less than Exide. | |

| I have changed to this battery. http://www.sfsonicpower.com/ almost 2yrs now still going good. Was cheaper than Exide and they gave a better price for exchange.

| Guys I would like to share you ..mine is 1.4 glx equipped with immobilizer central locking ; power windows n music system 2 sub woofers n 2 6" speakers ..only music system I fitted seperatly... Else other things are factory fitted... Battery is still running running its 39000km sparingly used for highway cruising n countryside rides..5 years complete n 6 the in progress as it was purchased & delivered on 1/1/09...I observed in my earlier car n did car ...that remote key with central locking consumes load of battery my previous car consumed 3 batteries in 5 years..hence for this car I didn't chose that option | |

| My car has never needed a battery but I bought one at 5 years ! I have central locking and I cannot see why you think That Central Locking will run down your battery ? at all !! Or do you mean the KEY battery ? I have also in 7 years not had to do this BUT changed it this year to be on the safe side ! Stu | |

| The 45 amp is for the petrol engine ! a Diesel needs a stronger battery due to the higher compression so its 50 to 60 and sooner the 60 it will last longer ! Look at this German page http://www.all-batteries.de/autobatterie/dacia/logan-diesel/1-5-dci/092005.html
and the difference in price between 50 and 60 is not a lot
