I did take a look at the Bridgestone Potenza, its quiet good.

Hmm. I think my tires will last till 40k.
In that case I'll replace 4 tires and leave the spare as it is.

How much are the potenzas roughly?

Not sure but I am going to take a serious look at them. Will let you know the price.

Am planning to change to Bridgestone Turanza ER60. Quoted price is Rs. 3750 per tyre.
Enquired a few places and the difference is only about ±Rs.100.

This place is on the way home. So maybe new shoes for ma' car by tomorrow.

I need to get my wheels changed soon too.. 45K+ and the tyres are screaming for a change now...

Changed to BS Turanza ER60 Finally
Costed me 15000 for 4 tires along with wheel alignment & balancing

Immediate differences i could notice.

1. lighter steering
2. less road noise (silent cabin)
3. tight handling

I changed to Bridgestone Potenza Tyres last year and it is more than a year old now and have already covered 20000 Kms on Bridgestone tyres. Never had any issues, good road grip and steering feel light.

Also when I changed tyres, the Tyre guy filled Nitrogen and in last 15 months I never required to get the pressure checked. Occassionally I checked the pressure and it is still the same what the Tyre guy filled on day one.

Best tyres are of two types one type is multinational like Bridgestone, yokohoma, Michellin, Good year Assurance ( one lakh kms grantee for tyres ).Pirelli,Continental tyres,Dunlop Above all are good tyres depents upon the user .Price almost same around 4000- 4500.

Indian tyres MRF Zvts (good and silent tyre with good after sales service). Apollo acclere ,Ceat etc

Consider few facts in your mind before purchase. Tyre price is increasing day by day due to the price of raw rubber so buy a good Indian or multinational tyre with lasting long.

Consider silent tyre silcon compond based tyres are mostly silent .

Use nitrogen for milage and long life of the tyre.

One advice avoid chinese or korean branded tyres .

I just bought Yokohama A Drive couple weeks back and then went to Rishikesh and Landsdowne. Super grip on the hills, pretty sharp handling(for logan standards) and barely any noise. Will post the pics soon.

i changed my original jk vectras for front tyres @ around 24500km only as they had started uneven wear and very noisy. i put ceat milaze. these had full warranty including cuts were the cheapest then ( i got 2 for 7000/- ) these have excellent tread pattern. noise has gone down immediately, now i have done about 12500 km on them in exactly six months and they look as good as new. grip levels are excellent and so is the ride. i think its a damn good tyre.

My Logan has ran 54K and needs a tyre replacement. I went through differnt threads related to tyres in this forum. I found is BridgeStone good and reliable. Also can you suggest the best tyre shops in Bangalore?

Hi Anil,
Depending on where you live, it is better to locate an authorised Bridgestone dealer on the internet.
I got mine changed near BEL Circle on outer Ring Road. They exchanged my old tires for Rs 300 each (run about 55k) and also did the wheel alignment and balancing for free. All included in the price of the 4 new tires.
