| It usually involves lot of wiring for the controls and sometimes needs a complete replacement of your rear glass. Becoz the copper lines are embeded into the glass surface with heat. There were after-market options earlier costing upto 2500 Rs. but was a real shoddy job. Of late however, i have not come across any shop that does it. Retention of the copper strips is a problem, with repeated usage. | |

| i would say only in case if the glass is such, it makes a good feature.
after market fittings may not be optimal and may carry two sockets on both sides on rear glass where the wires fit into the defogger mesh which does not look too good. personally i find this a very useful feature. | |

| Adding the rear defogger requires complete rewiring internally ... and also replacement of the glass since copper wires are embedded internally in the glass. After market fittings may not fit in properly and maintaining the same will be difficult.. It is better not to tinger with the electrical for such items where there is no provision is made by the manufacturer. | |

| The copper wiring is on the OUTSIDE of the glass and it would be Soooo easy to fit one yourself | |
