Very Good. Specially if the highway is great.

We have similar highway leading to Udaipur.

One is via Palanpur circuit and other one i guess is via Shamalaji circuit.

Both are excellent. You can easily touch such speeds safely on them.

However safety should be ahead of speed.

If any of the people staying near bangalore get a chance to drive through this route please do.

- Bangalore>Devanahalli (NH7 Excellent)
- Devanahalli>Sidlaghatta (Moderately good)
- Sidlaghatta>Chintamani bye-pass (Good)
- Chintamani bye-pass>Madanapalle, AP (Excellent 140+)

You can easily cruise at 140 after the Chintamani bye-pass.
Overall distance is just 140 km (one side)

The only bad stretch is a rouch road (2-3km) after Devanahalli.

I haven't dared go beyond 110 on normal highways. I did 140 once on the NICE road in Bangalore before the tolls started.

Our highways are definitely not designed for these sort of speeds!!

vsuprak - i have driven on this to go to the airport... but its a risky place.

However, seeing all the posts here, it looks to me that only on Diesel logan can you get such high speeds.. My 1.6 GLS never lets me cross 110 after which there is a good roar !!

i have 1.4 GLX and i have touched 160.

@sailent_killer also has 1.4 GLX and he has touched 160.

I dont understand why 1.6 petrol owners are not able to go beyond 110. We have @adamkathy also who is complaining about the same issue.

Are you guys able to depress the accelarator to it full depressed positions.

My diesel goes to 150+ so i am sure there is an issue in driving technique and/or wrong positioning of the floor mat near the accelerator! Try driving another Logan and if you dont face the issue, get the car checked! Try this at the service center, if you do face the same problem...

You are right BLR to Devanahalli, maintian only 80-90
I was only refering to thr orad condition here.

The stretch after chintamani bye-pass is the best as it does not have much human habitation and roads are butter smooth.

---------------

The accelerator was giving me some trouble for almost a month from the day i bought the car. Infact at Sarjapur in a big traffic jam, the accelerator got cable got stuck and i had to switch the engine off to prevent it from any further damage...

i took it to the workshop and they had to replace the entire set.

However, i can confirm to your question that the pedal does reach the floor and that doesnt seem to be an issue. The car just starts to roar once you cross 110 ... the rpm is almost 40

This is incorrect. Why your engine is not revving above 40. It goes well beyond 40. I can take it till 5500 easily before i start feeling the extra load.

are you sure you are in 5th gear. if yes get your engine checked and re-tuned.

I consistantly drove at 130 KM/hr with rpm of 3500. Rather i was concentrating on the RPM and at 3500 RPM, the speed i could reach was 130. My logon has done 1900 kms. I was hesitant to go beyond since the car has not crossed 3000 km. Is it ok to go beyond 130 speed and 3500 rpm before the car completes 3000 kms. Your views pl.

Hi,

The stability at high speed also depends a lot on the type. The stability will be much better at high speed if you are using Yokohoma or Bridgestone tyres.

Kaustuv.
