| Hello Friends, Its been around 3 months I brought my Logan and the car is very very good .. It feels like a luxury driving the vehicle no major Issues till no, but some very minor ones which I would like to solve it with your help soon before it becomes a Major Problem. Problem 1: Rear right Door not opening: Faced this funny problem yesterday when one of my friends sitting wanted to get out from that particular door (I dont know from how long this problem is there as usually I alone travel in the vehicle). I noticed that If I enable the child lock it doesnt open from inside (even with central lock open) and If I disable child lock it opens from inside (no matter what the central lock status is) .. has anybody faced this issue?? .. with central lock open the door should have opened regardless the status of child lock .. Problem 2: Poor First Servicing : My Servicing was done within 2 hours, in which they checked door greasing and washed the car body with water ... they were after me to purchase an underbody anti-corrosion treatment which I declined. They didnt do Wheel alignment nor Engine tunning, now I badly need a wheel alignment as I feel my car to be moving towards the left when steering is left alone. How can I get this done from Mahindra itself (I feel it was their duty during first service ). Also I saw a nail in my front left tyre which I had pointed out to the service manager while taking the delivery to which he said the tyre wont have any problem as it is tubeless and the nail seems small, but if you wish you will have to get it removed from outside as we donot fix punctures. The nail still remains .. is it advisable to drive the vehicle on highways with the nail on? Problem 3: Power Drop: Minor power drops are observed while cruising in 5th Gear which irritates me .. I feel it might be because of the A.C but can something be done for it. Problem 4: Booming when RPM reaches 3K I still face this problem, members in this forum had told me that the sound would reduce gradually after first service, but for me there was virtually no first service. Due to this issue I dont go above 90 KMph speeds as accelerator feels stiff and the car feels asthmatic. How to fix these problems the right way? Please help me | |

| after 3000 all logans are loud it goes away after 3500 or goes away a bit Kids locks in the door are made so YOU cannot override them with the central locking and rightly so this keeps the kids safe and stops the motherin law bashing the door as she PUSHES it open will all human force into the next parked car ..You have to go and let her out (She will love this as well hahah) the first service has nothing to do with steering it is just a oil check and water check have you banged you car up a kerbstone ?this will set the wheel alignment out and get that tyre changed !!! You should never have accepted that with a bloody nail in it this is the reason you are steering away its because you have less air in the tyre with the nail in it and no it is not advisable to drive with a nail in a tyre | |

| as usual Stu has already said what needs to be said.. and i love his humour.. mother in laws really have a way with car doors, eh stu? Prob 1: your car locks are performing just the way they are supposed to... i have to check where it should be opening from inside when the central lock is in "lock" mode.. will update tomorrow.. can someone else comment on this? Prob 2: Stu is right... 90% chances that it is tyre pressure at fault and not an alignment issue.. alingments dont get screwed in <10000km of running... except when you damage the wheel or tyre Prob 3: ignore... car is fine.. if you feel it too often.. have it checked.. but i doubt your service engineer will be able to tell you anything worthwhile Prob 4: standard issue with all logans.. ignore it.. they say you should anyway break the car in for the first 2-3k or run and not go beyond 2500 RPM... | |

| Problem 1: If it is central locked rear doors do not open from inside unless they are unlocked. If child lock is active rear doors wont open unless opened from outside with door lock released. However this is not true for front doors. Front doors always open from within irrexpective of central lock. If above is not true for your car you need to get it checked. Problem 2: First servicing normally is fast with nothing much to do. However you could have specifically asked for fixing some issues if they did exist. Like i did the engine tuning related to pickup and speed in the first service as it was not something i wanted. Regarding the nail, you must get it removed ideally. Problem 3 and 4: You can get them fixed. Ideally you should have got it done in the first serrvice itself. | |

| Hi Icno, About your first problem with the lock. i had the same problem. I got the locks changed. The door would not open from inside or outside... and it was not because of the child lock. In my case, it would start working if you pressed dn on the door open handle on the outside to let it slot in place ( it had a tendency of not slotting in dcompletely when released ), and it start working again. I got it adjusted in the forst service, but the problem persisted. So I got the locks changed completely. Now it's fine..... please don't settle for anything less! And yes Logan first service seems like only general checkup. The oil change and all happens in the second service. Cheers | |

| Hi Friends, Sorry was stuck up with some urgent work and couldnt take out time to reply in this topic. Thanks Stu, lovan_lover, Mir, adam and Parag for helping me, I checked out the solutions and found out. Problem 1 was not a problem. Problem 2 I forgive them, though still havent removed the nail (I am very lazy ) Problem 3 frequency has reduced and i feel it wont be a problem anymore Problem 4, started to live with it, and dared to go above 3000 rpm but still less than 3500 rpm and it was fun... back again to redlight racings ... its wonderful taking on and beating Sx4's and swifts ... (0 - 60 Kmph at ~6 secs .. my maruti 800 was ~7 secs) though in the process reduced the DIS KMPL reading of 2500 KMs from 13.5 to 13.1.(that is a huge difference considering the 2500 KM range). So only sane driving from now on, DIS has helped a lot in that matter Thanks | |

| about the wheel alignment, yes the air pressure was less in the front left tyre, on equal pressure there is no problem. The nail is not causing the air to leak but will get it removed tomorrow. Thanks Stu ... It would have been wonderful if the DIS could have showed the tyre pressures of all the tyres | |
