| hi friends! i have brought 1.6 glx logan and its been two months and i have driven it nearly 4000kms now and here are some things i would like to tell and will like to know ur experiences about it!! 1)when at high rmp means when ur pulling ur car at higher speeds there is a humming noise of ac have u experienced it (its not prominent but if hear carefully u can hear it) 2)have u experienced a stiffness while shifting to reverse gear!! 3)what the exact reserve capacity means approximately how many more kms will the car go !! (many even after 6 ltrs of petrol the reserve indicator still remains glowing.) 4)headlights!!! a big problem they r very dim as compared to other vechiles !! PLEASE DO TELL ME ABOUT UR EXPERIENCES AND WHAT DO THINK ABOUT MY DOUBTS | |

| Congratulations on your purchase ! As far as your queries are concerned : 1) I have not noticed any relation between engine RPM and sound of the AC. What I did notice yesterday was a slightly louder than normal sound from the AC while idling. There's a free AC check-up camp happening here - will get it checked 2) The reverse gear is a bit stiff.. you need to make sure that the clutch is completely engaged when you shift. Don't yank it into reverse - do it smoothly.. a sure-fire solution is to shift into first gear first and then slot it into reverse (you should engage reverse only from a stand still) 3) If I'm not mistaken , the reserve capacity is of 5 lts. In any case you can get a digital reading of the fuel in the tank. 4) I have upgraded the headlights to Narva 90/100w with appropriate relays.. these are bright enough. Please ensure you do not drive on high beam when it is not required Drive safe | |

| Hey this just shows you though a Mahindra man driving a Logan ! He has taste and knows what a good car is In my Dacia Logan 1400 I drove onto the reserve light thinking I would find a filling station (in Germany) and I had to drive a long way at least 60 km before I found one and I can tell you I was flapping and the wife was nagging haha but we found a station and filled up So from my experiance you can drive at least 60 km (Carefully) | |

| Yes thats about right But I would not do it again as its not good for my ageing nerves and also picks up a lot of gunge from the bottom of the tank | |

| Stu, i had a similar experience last weekend, left my home for Lonavala (A Hill Station Close to Mumbai) early morning, completely missing that the reserve light was on since a day earlier, i kept on driving, and was on the expressway in no time , had to drive about 30 kms or so till the food mall/petrol pump! Had my heart in my mouth for all tat time!! | |

| I have seen this thing too. But it lasts for a max of 1 km. Have observed it mainly in places where the car travels in upward or downward slopes. Probably, fuel tends to move within the tank and the sensor waits till it settles down again.
Some fule tanks have a 2-point sensor or 3-point sensor which can accurately tell the level even in inclined positions. | |

| thanks ashu!!! i will have to look in to it!! because i hav seperated from logan department!!! but ........still there is no signs of renault releasing a new car!!! i will tell u whats my personal view!! i think renault people dont take indian market too seriously!!! i also dont like there marketing strategies!!! i know these cars are good but not the best!! because the logan i tested was a 16valve 1.6ltr petrol engine and they brought 8 valve engine in india why??????????? i dont know !!! there is a huge diffrence in 8 and 16 valve engine regarding pick up milage and all!! 16 valve would defeat skodA and jetta and city very very easily!!! | |

| What is the 1600 only an eight valve ? Renault will release the Sandero one day but first it needs help with the Garages which from what I hear are not so good and few and far between .Jetta ? Wow that has been out of our market for at least 8 years now and Skoda is also VW and they are on the dear side while all they are are VW Passats with another badge | |
