| Hey Guys, just a simple query. my logan's service is due tomorrow.( free) those guys there have informed me tht they'l charge 400/- for just pick up and drop. and talking to them over this issue seems useless..the dealer's knowledge reg their own rules/norms is appalling..i had to repeatedly call them to book a service. They themselves didn know that it was 2000 kms or 2 months whichever is earlier.Gosh.he says '' Sorry Sir no one here knows any such rule. we'll cross check and let you know if any such scheme exists''.I almost hit the roof..those in blore will know better i suppose..(400/- for victoria rd- malles..)Am saying this coz i also have a santro and the guys there are really prompt and dont charge unnecessarily. And they remind us unlike in this case... 400 may not be too big a sum .but considering the distance, i feel its a quite a quick buck for them..moreover, un necessary. what say guys..help/sugg most welcome. Thanks . | |

| I havent been charged for Pickup and drop earlier, but i guess this is a Dealer initiative. They did ask me for some charge once but then dropped it free!
Solely a dealer initiative. Try some other dealer!
BTW, share the name of the dealer too so others know!

| Stu, ... am no miser..quite the opposite in fact. It's not the 'amount' ..the allocation/appropriation / application of that amount is what am concerned about.anyways to be true, am not too bothered about that anymore..i dont mind paying the chap even more than that as tips (if am really happy wid their work)..but when they ask/charge that much themselves, i start to feel there's something fishy.cant help.am an aspiring CA myself.lol..so that probably runs in me to probe..lol..small or big, money is money..and in india, stu, we, (sans exceptions) sincerely follow this saying :'' If you know how to spend less than you get, you have the philosopher's stone.'' by the way i really got to count 20 before and be careful when replying to you i suppose..i dont want history repeating itself. lol..Thanks anyways. | |

| Sireesh Auto Bangalore mentioned durong the 1st pickup that they charge 300 Rs. Surprisingly, they never charged me a penny till date I've sent my car about some 6-7 times to his garage about 30 km away. Every time someone comes and picks it up and drops it back for free. Even got a free carpet cleaning last year when roads flooded near my office. Was told that it'd cost about 2700. But finally was not charged anything. Refer this case to India Garage. | |

Wow I guess i'll pay a visit soon to see what he facility is like. I'll probably catch hold of some service advisor there so that I can have a single point contact.

| Not as much as i know. Given the declining sales, its unlikely that somebody would look at that as an option. | |
